Problems Printing from the Photo Tray Instructions and troubleshooting on photo tray printing issues.
The Ink at the head of your Printer Cartridges has dried up.
Try this:
Load some plain paper in the printer
Remove the cartridges from the printer and carefully dab the print heads of the cartridges with a damp paper towel. ( when you start to see ink, the ink is starting to flow).
Replace the cartridges into the printer.
Go to:
Start
Control Panel
Printers
RIGHT click on this printer
choose Printing preferences
services
clean print cartridges 9some papers may print)
follow the instructions and do the heavier cleaning as well
Run the calibration function and allow the paper to print.
The print head is a part of the printer itself and unlike other printers, you cannot remove it or
soak it without ruining your printer. So just try the print head cleaning option and perhaps replace cartridges, especially if you are using a third party or refilled
cartridge which can clog even if it is full.
if your printer is Canon, usually there are 2 possibility.
First one is the cartridge / head need replacement with a new one.
Second one is the main chip in the printer's board burned or damaged.
