Installing a k2-gl6e, or trying..

Hi- I was trying earlier to hook up a kt3 2e etc. motherboard, wound up w/ a bad video card (or connection) so I'm trying out this other board I was given. Thing is, does anybody know where the panel and printer connections make up on this mb?

I'll probably wind up doing that. I'm in the process of phasing out of this desktop, shifting all the work to my notebook. So just trying to do a stopgap fix in the meantime.

I'm thinking this board has the pins for it all, tho', it's just about picking out which ones fit what.

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them there probably old and faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error

hope this helps

My computeris running but I have a black screen. Could this be the battery in the mother board?

the battery on the motherboard is what keeps your cmos and bios up to date. this problem could be a bad connection of the monitor cable into the back of your computer, a bad monitor, try hooking up another monitor, or a bad video driver. i would try and hook up another monitor to your computer or hook your monitor up to another computer to see what happens.
if your moniter works on another computer and you have an onboard video driver, try installing a video card.

My M7NCD motherboard will not read my video card but I put the video card in another computer and it worked. Is there another way to get my monitor hooked up without buying another video card and etc.

Hi,
Okay, since the card works on another motherboard, that indicates that there is noting wrong with the card.

The problem is either the motherboard, cpu or memory. Or you might not have connected all the proper power cables to the board.

If possible test each part on another motherboard to confirm what is faulty.

Please keep me updated on your progress.

No video on new Gigabyte GA-MA770-DS3 motherboard

There are a couple things that you need to look at. The first is your power supply. I've had computers seeming to run fine with no video. Turned out to be bad power supplies.
Does your video card require a power connection? Many high-end video cards need an external power connection. If the card has a power connection, use it.
Have you gone in and checked the cmos settings? What does it say (if anything) for the default video?
Now remove all connections to drives (hard drive and CD and try for video. Try it.
Next, if possible, swap out memory.
After you've tried everything (including maybe burning incense), time to try a new motherboard.

Upgrading graphics card

Connect the monitor to the onboard video connector first. then
you need to disable the on-board graphics in the BIOS save the setting and shutdown. Then connect the monitor to the GeForce video connector and boot up then you will get a video signal on the GeForce video card.

No video display

Could you offer more information please. A video display may be related to incomaptible/bad memory, monitor problems, graphic card problems, loose connections. If you could specify if there was video earlier, and what triggered its absence, I could try.

Asus motherboard M2N-E will not power up

It could be a memory card too. I would start by pulling the memory cards and see what happens.

Is there a connection on the motherboard for your hard drive?

Ge force 6200 video card installation

Hi dl1099, your motherboard L7VMM2 can only run a 4xAGP video card as noted in your manual pg. 2 Settings pg. 36
If your not getting video at boot up switch connectors on the video card.

Mother board

Remove all peripherials, i.e .drives, video cards, even memory. Leave Power Supply connected. I hope you disable power while removing or installing components. Try to boot up motherboard with nothing except P/S connected. Assuming no beeps there, hook up one or both memory modules at which time there should be error beeps indicating no video card attached, etc. If you are then getting the bios beeps, there is a good possibility that the motherboard is good. If there are no beeps, then one has to consider the possibility of a bad motherboard or a damaged bios. Tell me more about motherboard manufacturer and model #.. All this is necessary to properly research your issues
