Unable to read original card (by 2 users)

I have Ped Basic and Embroidery Magic 2. I created a new design, used Wilcom to convert the .ppl to .pes. When I put the data card into my brother, I get the statement "this card cannot be used on this machine". It worked until I put the new design on it. Is there a way to reformat the card? I am a newbie and I fear I messed the card up. Thank you for any assistance you could offer.

I got a 270D for Christmas and bought the Brother PED basic software , card and reader.. I installed the software put a design on the card and got the same error message on the machine. "This card will not work in this machine." I didnt try the card in the machine before I put a design on it so I dont know if it worked before or not.

I called brother and I had set the hoop size to the wrong demension. I had it set for a 5X7 hoop and my machine uses a 4X4 hoop, It works fine now. Hope this helps you
