Re: Snowy Raster on display

Hi mcuyg,

Hope this will give you hint in solving this problem. Try configuring monitor settings in OSD mode; contrast; brightness; etc.. other special settings can be accessed using combination of buttons to minimize the raster intensity. On hardware side try resoldering cold soldered points and check the SMPS side.

Best regards,
Rosener Guyano

Radiation lines scroll on monitor screen

Check and jiggle (yes, that's the technical term) the monitor cable at both ends to make sure the connection is tight. If this doesn't help, borrow a cable from another computer (or a friend) that you know works, and use that to connect the monitor to the computer. If the picture is no longer snowy, you have a bad cable; buy a replacement one from any number of dealers (I recommend, they're just about the best prices anywhere, but if you don't feel comfortable ordering online, any store with an electronics department should have one.)
If it is still snowy, try plugging your computer into a different monitor and see if the picture is still snowy. If it isn't, then your monitor has probably gone bad; check it's warranty, and consider buying a replacement.
If it is still snowy, post back here with the name of your graphics card (in Windows, this can be found by pressing the Windows key and the R key at the same time, then typing in 'dxdiag' without the quotes, hitting Enter or OK, and looking at the 'Display' tab of the window that opens. If a warning message shows up about it being run for the first time, click OK or Yes.).
Good luck!

Acer CRT moniter 17" Model: AC713 dost not display any thing.

Ok if you prese the menu button on the monitor does the monitors setting menu appear on screen
If it displays adjust the contrast and brightness until a picture appears
If that does not work place a fringe magnet on one of the corners of the monitor if there is now green tinge around it than there is no electrons being fired at the screen and you have missed something so test every component

Yes, I'd say your cable is faulty. If it is the type you can disconnect, then change it. If it is moulded to the monitor then you might have a problem. check all of the pins on the connector to make sure they are in tact and not bent.

Al 1916 problem

really? here's the thing..try to check the display settings the menu button of your monitor then try adjust the contrast, brightness and colors as well to your desired level..if your'e using LCD monitors, these are very sensitive and can be easily damaged if don't handle it very well..don't press the auto button always because it will automatically adjust the settings every now and then..
