Whirlpool Side-by-Side Fridge

How do I remove the doors on my side-by-side Whirlpool fridge, so that I can fit it out the front door when I move this week? Is there anything I should know about disconnecting the water line that runs to the door of the fridge??

Unscrew the cover plates on the top door hinge there are quick connects for the elects and 3 bolts on the freezer side and just 3 bolts on the refg side before you removed the freezer door pull the kick plate and there is a water line quick connect you will need to disconnect it as the tube runs thru the hinge after the top bolts are out pull up on the door and it is off >>>Note: there are some small plastic washers on the hinge post make sure you dont lose them

Side by side fridge door adjustment

Good day,
There is a complete warranty on the machine and cabinet for the first 12 months. The selling dealer should supply you with a free warranty service call.
There are variences allowed for such things by the manufacturer, but they should make you whole.
Contact the dealer first.

Want to move whirlpool american side by side fridge freezer but need to remove doors how is this done

1. If you just need to gain a little space you can simply remove the door handles. They should just lift (or slide) up with moderate force and can be removed.

2. If you only need to move through one door in a building you might be able to open the doors enough to make the unit clear the door you are trying to move the unit through. This would take care.

3. If you really do need to remove the doors, be sure to disconnect the water line at the rear. Then gently snap off the hinge assembly covers at the top of the unit and disassemble the hinge. Be aware of water lines when you are ready to remove the doors.

Panel between fridge and freezer very hot and no sound at all

Hi: Its just a coincidence you noticed it then. It is usually hot. It's the reverse side of the refrigerant (the hot side.) If you lived in a humid area the fridge would sweat. Water would run down between the doors. I live in a dry climate so no worries. Older fridges used an electric heating element to keep them dry. They also had an energy saver switch to turn it off. As Whirlpool uses the hot side of the refrigerant they don't use additional power to run the heater. Actually the heater is called a mullion heater. Nothing is wrong with your fridge. I'll look over my shoulder for angry retailers. Hope this helps, Jeff.
