Re: dual XD7500

There is a corkscrew that opens and closes the face plate, it will get worn down since it made out of plastic, when it wheres down, only have of the screw will have threads, the have of the screw that has threads will let you take the cd in and out, but in order to get the whole face down it needs to use the whold corkscrew, the corkscrew is located on top of the unit, only visible after the top cover is taking off, you'll see it on the right side of the unit, you can try to order one from, its such an easy fix

There is no display on the faceplate. The faceplate is stuck in the CD eject position. If I remove the faceplate the mechanism rotates to the position where the controls would be visible but when I attach...

I would try cleaning the connectors on the face plate with an pencil eraser and on the unit itself with a very fine sand paper. And make sure you get rid of any dust after cleaning before putting the face plate back on.
Please leave me a good feedback.

when the radio face is open like it is in the picture above... take a look /feel directly underneath (back side of the lower controls)the large center knob. you are going to feel a push button about an inch wide. push while pulling down and toward you to remove. the until will then close on it own. reattach by clipping directly on once unit has closed

This is what the manual says:
With the unit off, press OPEN to allow the front panel to slide
down. Gently squeeze the release tab located on the bottom
center underside and pull faceplate down and away from unit
to remove. To install, insert left side faceplate first, then push
right side to secure.

Tried it and couldn't get it out.

Flip Down faceplate is stuck.

I have the same problem, and all my problem was is that one of the wheels were out of place. You can see these white gears at the bottom left and right. Just stick something in there and push it back in place. It should just snap back in.
