Question about Minolta EP1083 CS/PRO Copier
C05 is a fuser code, it is reading a wrong temp. of the fuser. You can try to reset it. It could just be a power surge. If u want to try itis easy. Turn the power "off" and unplug the "adf" if so equiped. Open the front door and open the claim shell as if to remove a paper jam. Then remove the 3 screws( #2 phil) from the top back cover and remove the top back cover. Turn the power back "on" with the copier still clam shelled opened. On the back of the copier u will see the DC controler with a "white" plastic box on it. Right below that u will see a small "Black" botton, push it and it will reset the code. Close the copier back up and see if it come up to ready and make a copy. If it codes out agian open the clam shell and feel the fusing ass'y is it warm or cold? If it warm it could be a bad thermister or if it is cold it could be the thermal fuse or the fusing lamp is bad. If it dose not rest you need to call a copier repair company...... Make sure you put the covers back on and close the copier up and let the tech see the code.
