My GE GSS25VFPAWW side by side refrig. wil not despense water.

Replace the main control board . Pt # WR55X10942 is the part number . The dispenser board has lost communication with the main board . The main control board is behind the refrig , behind the small 8X10 inch panel . There are 6-8 group plugs which will only fit in perspective plugins , so this board is easily replaceable . Cost of board is about $150.00 .

at the very bottom on the rear side there is a water line that is slip onto a fitting.
that is the water pump
It maybe the problem you have if not working

adjust tempt of fresh food side it may be to cold and freezing veg/ and water line .. **** ..

replace main cold control board and thermistor.

I would say your water valve in the freezer is locked in the open postion or has broken.

You need to replace the main control board on the back of the unit. It has a voltage problem. Once it has been replaced with the updated board your issues will be gone.

under the trim there are 2 openings on on each side insert a flat head screw driver and twist so it will unlock and then it will be off hopefully you dont have to remove all insternal parts inside dispencer i will try one tomorrow at work and let you know

sounds like clogged water drain

in a side by side it is located in freezer section at bottom

in top freezer ref it is in freezer too but behind back cover


if either are iced over remove ice and pour sum really hot water down drain until u see it go down

We replaced the water line to the refriderature. It was plugged by a coroded copper sleve.

THe problem may be in the water valve for the water despenser,

you could try disconnecting the 2 wires on top of the water despenser side of the valve and see if that will stop it. IF not the valve may need replaceing, may be leaking thu water vavle when closed
