Here is a link to the user guide. http://www.banoggle.com/Products/Motorola/manuals/SX900-manual.pdf Page two will be where you will find most of the instructions. Check your frequency, code and Qt filter. Make certain they match one another identically. If you continue to have difficulties, set the code and Qt filter to zero (or off), as well as the weather alert. Then try the units again. Hope this solves your problem.

Best regards.

I had the same problem. Both radios were set up the same (frequencies etc.) but when I pressed the push to talk buttons they would beep and the light would momentarily flash. This would happen even thought it showed full battery charge on the meter. I changed out the rechargeable NiMH batteries to disposables and the radio worked fine after that. It's an inexpensive way to find out if your battery packs need replacement. You can also stay with the disposables but that means you can't use the nice charger anymore. Hope this helps.

How do I unlock a Motorola talkabout

Press and hold the Menu button (the center section with the + and - buttons to the sides) until you hear a beep (3 seconds or so). After that, when you press and release the Menu button, the Channel number should flash indicating that you can change the channel. In the future, you can toggle the keypad lock by pressing and holding the Menu button.

You can find more information on the Keypad Lock feature in the manual. See page 14 and page 21. The manual is available from ManualsLib: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/106993/Motorola-Talkabout-T5320.html . For the diagram of the Motorola Talkabout T5320, see https://www.manualslib.com/manual/106993/Motorola-Talkabout-T5320.html?page=14#manual . The Keypad Lock is described here: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/106993/Motorola-Talkabout-T5320.html?page=21#manual .

I hope this helps. I usually use my Motorola Talkabout radios with the keypad lock active. I hit the various button accidentally when working in the field.

Can I turn off the beep on the cxt195?

You mean the "roger beep"? You can try the steps below from this site>>http://science.opposingviews.com/turn-roger-beep-off-motorola-walkie-talkie-10001.html
Step 1
Turn the Motorola Talkabout two-way radio on by pressing the "Power" button.
Step 2
Hold down the "Menu" button for several seconds until an icon appears on the screen. "On/Off" begins to flash on the screen.
Step 3
Press the "Minus" button to turn the "Roger" beep off. If you want to turn it back on, press the "Plus" button.
Step 4
Tap the "PTT" button to save the change. You may also press "Menu" to save the change and completely exit Menu mode

Hope it helps...

I ptt and it immediatley 'roger beeps'

Beeping when you press the PTT button usually indicates a bad or weak battery. Check your batteries and charger. Clean contacts with a pencil eraser.

If you feel this is not the problem, then you have a radio problem. These radios are non-repairable, as parts and schematics were never released for them.

I recieved a talkabout 250 and i have no clue how to use it please help

You would need two or more radios to be able to communicate with others. Then you simply press the push-to-talk (PTT) button when you want to talk (transmit) and release it so others can reply (receive). The radios must be set to the same settings to be able to communicate.

What will i do to connect Motorola T5720 and T5728

Set both the frequency and the interference eliminator code to match one another. (The big number and the small number) Here is a link to the owners manual: http://www.motorola.com/mdirect/manuals/T56XX_57XX_User%20_Manual_E.pdf

Basic instructions:
Press the Menu Button
The freq number will flash
Use the + or - button to select the frequency.
Press the PTT button to save the channel setting.

To set the code:
Press the menu button until the code starts to flash (the small number)
Press the + or - to select the code.
Press the PTT to save the code setting.

Once you have both radios matching on frequency and code, they should communicate together.

I have a problem

Hi,

Normally in a Motorola T5700, to set a specific channel to monitor (and reply to) called your working channel, you press the Menu (center) button and the current channel shown in the display will flash. Press either the + or - buttons to change to your desired channel number which should be identical to both radios. Press the PTT button to save.

Likewise, both radios must have identical Interference Eliminator Code. To set code, press Menu till the code display blinks. Press + or - to select code. Press the PTT to save. To disable the code, select 0.

Hope that this be of help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
