Re: no picture

Open the back cover and disconnect the Y - Board Vs plug from the Power Supply board. Check the Vs voltage in Power Supply board when turn on the tv. If the Vs voltage is there, it means the power supply is good and try to replace the Y-Board. Otherwise, try to replace the Power Supply board. If your tv is still in warranty, just let the warranty depot shop fix tv for you.

My LG 42LC7D tv wont turn on. The green led lights but no picture or sound

There could be several things going on, I would start with having the power supply checked. I've worked on several LG sets from that time frame that all had bad capacitors in the power supply causing all sorts of issues

Gtvl19w17hdf wont switch on

For a 19 inch set the answer may be retirement---but have you tried to unplug it and or the box if used for signal for a while and plugged back to see if a reboot cures it(set will try if unplugged a while to do this)?

You might also call Goodman's customer service to see if the set has a hard reset done with the remote or even a software/firmware upgrade available.

What have you got to lose by trying?

My picture has several lines going through the screen, some of them are green and the picture is blurry.

View the television on more than one input to make sure that there are lines going through the picture and that the picture is blurry on every input.

If this problem is occurring on every input try an industry initialization/factory reset. You can call 877-332-7867 even now to get a case file started and be walked through one.

You are going to have to be able to unplug the television or switch off the surge protector it is connected to with your foot, and hold down the side panel buttons on the television itself as advised while plugging the television set back in or switching the surge protector back on with your foot at the same time so be prepared.

Television displays in blue , only checked all

For your remote problem, mine has stopped working a couple of times and here is what Sharp had me do: Take the batteries out of the compartment. Next press and hold down the power button on the remote for a count of 30 seconds. Return batteries and the RC should be reset. As for the other problem, I had a similar thing happen tonight, hence I am on this site looking for help. My remote quite working, so I did the above, to no avail. I noticed the channel number box was frozen on the screen. I could not turn the TV off manually and had to unplug from AC. I plugged it back in and got sound but no picture, just that bluish dark screen. TV would not turn off. Then I got nothing, no sound, no pic. I left the TV unplugged for several minutes, 5 or so, plugged it in and it did work and is working now, RC too. You might try unplugging it for an extended time.

Periodic tv screen blackouts

The problem is your cable box. I know you said you replaced it, but I work on TV's everyday and, sorry to say this but cable box HDMI outputs have serious issues, like no or intermittent sound and video. I have seen customers exchange their cable boxes 5 and 6 times and still have the problem. Your best bet is to use the component outputs of your cable box, visually you will not see a picture difference between component and HDMI when using a cable box. Your other solution is to get satellite; I have NEVER seen an HDMI issue with a satellite box

Blackout, High Pitch Squeel

Funny to see this because this is exactly what is happening to my 32 inch TV and I was researching to see if some one else had this problem and right away I find this, I've had my set for over a year now, and I have no solution at this time, but I will continue to research this, I figured that Protron would blame the cable company, that's what company's with crappy products usually do. Blame someone else.

Blackout problems

It could be the LVDS cable that is connected between the logic main board and the main board, sometimes this cable is too short and comes loose from one of the boards, it could also be a sign that the logic main is going out or the panel itself is shorting out
