check
the physical nature of the lamp in the projector. around the filament of the lamp, you might
notice dark corrosion building around it. this what normally cause premature shut off.
U still have sound throught out the picture cut in and out?Yes,than the two long boards call the LCD inverter boards are dead.Replaced the two long LCD inverter boards will solved this problems.The"LAMP"indication LED light on the screen bazel panel,light up or flahes?Yes,the lamp life span is over,require the lamp replacement.
there is an issue with the lamp ballast. probably needs to be replaced. send it in to an infocus service center. try av solutions in ny. they're really good.

To reset the lamp timer you:
1. Turn off the main power button on the back of the projector.
2. Hold down the down, right, and enter buttons on the projector.
3. Turn the main power button on the back back on.
4. The projector should come on, hold down the buttons for at least 3 seconds after it comes on. If it doesn't come on, repeat the steps.
5. Turn the projector back off using the sleep button on the top of the projector. Then turn it back on. If it comes on and is functional, you have successfuly reset the lamp timer.
This symptom can be caused by a few different conditions. Do you hear the fans running? If not then possibly the over temp protection switch has failed. or the lamp cover is not securely in place.
If the fans are running (you can feel air flow) then either the lamp has failed prematurely or the lamp power supply (ballast) has failed or you have replaced the lamp and failed to reset the lamp timer and it has reached it's limit which can be reset by pressing both the volume up and volume down buttons on the the projector simultaneously for 10 seconds. This will reset the lamp timer.

Check page 51 - i am pretty sure that the projector is overheating - most likely as a result of needing the filter cleaned - check page 46 for details of how to do this.
If this does not solve the problem, just check that there is nothing else blocking the passage of air from the filter to the fan as far as you can tell from the outside, and if still no joy then you need to get hold of a replacement filter, although it is unusual that these cannot be cleaned enough to use (it is not a good idea at all to try and operate the set without one)
