Hello, Have you tried formatting the memory card with the camera?
If a card is formatted with another camera or if it is new you should format it with the DX6490.Hope this helps.

Simple. Get a card reader. Use it to download your pics to a folder you create on the desktop. Once there, you can send the pics to any program you desire.10_31_2011_4_37_56_am.jpg

the problem is usually caused by virus and sometimes it might be software failure also, which causes some of the menu not to function,the only solution is to flash ur cam software from the nearest kodak service centre..

Dowloading video to computer

Use a card reader to download the video to a folder you create on your desktop. Then use a program like Quicktime (free download from Apple) to open it.

Konica has written a new driver for Windows 7 go to www.konica.com select dowloads/software - find your model - run Windows 7 application. this should sort it out.

Hello Tina, Try to connect the camera directly to the PC using the USB cable and see if this works, if not uninstall the Kodak software and do a full reinstall.

Want to buy a dx6490 outer lens

if you cant swap one yourself from a dead camera it would be beyond economical repair.
If you are adventurous you could buy a faulty one of ebay and swap the lens or if the faulty one has a broken screen or mode dial swap yours over to the faulty one..
there are a couple of "tricks" do getting this camera open drop me a line if you decide to proceed...
