Hi stuff082069,

it means that the motherboard is searching for all drives connected (HDD, CDs, floppy). if it's getting a big delay when system reboot, that means that the motherborad is having dificulty in find one of the drives. like that, you'll need to see if it is well recognized in BIOS SETUP, by pressing F2 in the beginning. In BOOT SEQUENCE ORDER, you'll see Floppy in first, HDD in second and CD in third place. if like that, is normal.

Your OS is not seeing your hard drive and is looking for other devices to boot too. Enter your Bios. At the main window make sure the bios see's your primary hard drive. Next go to Boot, the boot order should be like this. 1st boot device the floppy if you have one. 2nd boot cd-rom. 3rd, boot should be your hard drive.
If after you do this & the system is still looking for a boot device, check your hard drive's jumper settings. Every IDE has a jumper setting & how it should be according to the sticker on the drive.

I think that you have your network card (nic) set as a boot option in the bios ,
go into the bios and disable that as a boot option/order

Not scanning a photo to computer

Usually, if a printer isn't scanning, it means that you have a bad driver for it. Download a new driver for it from the manufacturer's website. Go to my computer, pick your scanner, and then reinstall the drivers from there (right click for a list of options). Then, reset your computer and it should work. If not, you may need additional assistance from the manufacturer. Hope it helps.

The scanner warms up and goes through its process but does not transfer picture to screen - comes through a blank white page and then the screen turns black reinstalled the driver and rebooted the computer...

Most of the scanner software has options to set the scan area. Yours MAY have got set to a tiny area outside the thing you are scanning. So check the options including the scanning resolution. Reinstalling the I/O driver is useless. Re-installing the scanning software itself MIGHT restore the resolution to defaults. If there is a way to restore defaults, try that.
SOMETIMES re-installing software remembers your old settings, which could be the problem to start with.

  • Remove options and try again (NOTE: when removing the Postscript board, you must replace the 2 IBM ROMs)
  • If the printer now works, replace options one at a time to test them
  • Replace system board

HP OfficeJet 7210 scanner does not work "no sc an options you have to install or run device software"

The scan options are on your computer, you need to have HP scanning software running to tell the scanner how to scan the document where to send it and how to save it. No options means the scanned image would have nowhere to go.

I'm trying to scan a document and it says "No Scan Options. Refer to device documentation." It will not scan. What do I do?

In order to scan, you need to be connected to your computer with HP scanning software running. No scan options means it needs to know where to scan to, what format to save in, and what to do with the scanned image. If you want to copy, you just copy, but scanning requires software on your computer.

    Cant play nintendo games

OK. First of all to play NDS roms on the computer is almost not possible. The emulator for NDS are not very good and have really bad framerates so i would abandon the idea of playing them on your pc. If you still want to try then go to http://www.emulator-zone.com/ download the emulator ou want. Check that your roms are all unzipped before you try to run them and have the right file ending. snes=.srm or smc nds=.nds nes= .nes hope this helps.
