The battery is housed in the xlr adaptor DC-78. You may need to unscrew the barrell about the outside of it to replace the batt.

Or alternatively use phantom power to run up the mic(this is easiest

. Be sure to connect it to a channel that is phantom power optioned

Here is the spec sheets for it with details of the adaptor you need and battery type required.

I'm getting a P 1133 error code for my 2000 subaru outback limited wagon. Is it a faulty Heater circuit or an oxygen sensor? Also where are these parts located on the car? Thanks

The definition of Diagnostic Test Code (DTC) P1133 = "FRONT OXYGEN (A/F) SENSOR HEATER CIRCUIT HIGH INPUT"

Please note that DTCs (A.K.A. "fault codes") NEVER tell you what parts to replace.
The DTC here is telling you which CIRCUIT is malfunctioning. The circuit must be diagnosed to find the exact CAUSE of the malfunction.

The possible causes of this DTC are:
> Battery short circuit in harness between Engine Control Module (ECM) and front oxygen (A/F) sensor connector
> Faulty ECM

Please also note that this is NOT a typical O2 Sensor circuit. This is a 6-pin Air/Fuel Ratio sensor. Proper scan tool and datalink interface equipment is REQUIRED to properly diagnose these circuits.

Where the parts are located:
The A/F sensor is located in the exhaust pipe in front of the catalytic converter. The ECM is located Under the carpet in the passenger front foot-well area. The circuits are located between the two.

I can answer the first question. The year of your car will run without the cataltic converters and not affect the performance or fuel milage. Your ECM is not that sophisticated. You can call a parts store and they can tell you where the ECM is located

My bonniville after it warms up starts to sputter and then it stalls on me???

Try changing the fuel filter,in case it is stopping up,as the engine runs, and change the coolant sensor, this sensor tells the ecm the temp of the engine,to the computer so it can adjust lean to rich and so forth, and some times the coolant sensor just sends no signal at warm up,and the ecm does not know what to do,so it shuts down.If this is helpful, please rate, thank you.

Thanks for helping, i would like to change the battery on my 2003 road king but do not know how. can you please tell me?

Rmove phillips screw holding down passenger pillon. Pull pillon back and up a little. Take 5/8" wrench and remove "nuts" now exposed. After removing pull seat up and back over studs. Battery is now exposed. Remove right saddle bag, right side cover, remove ECM fuse. Carefully remove 10mm(?) bolts holding battery cables on, before hand note and or label other connections if present. Lift battery up and out, replace with new, reverse steps.
Important note, battery is very tight fit, and must sit firmly in battery bos, and ALWAYS use a sealed battery. The cost $100+.
Hope this helps,

Check Engine Light came on while driving. No

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. The check engine light is on because ECM (Control Module) detected a fault with your car's system. ECM has self-testing capability. When the computer senses that there is a problem with some of the components it stores the correspondent trouble code(s) in its memory and lights up the "Check Engine" or "Service Engine Soon" light to tell you that there is a problem and your car needs to be looked at. You'll need to get the codes checked from a nearby dealer/mechanic. Please revert with the codes so that I can tell you where exactly the issue is.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

I found this happens with a bad capsule.

On the end of the wire you have the microphone capsule. If I remember correctly, the capsule can be unscrewed from the microphone amplifier case assembly. This part can be ordered from a supplier for Sony professional parts.

I have also had the wire go defective, and need replacement. With most of these models, the complete capsule assembly has to be replaced along with the new wire.

If you are not used to servicing this type of microphone, Sony has service reps that can service and test the microphone for you.
