You need an RF modulator if you are

After connecting my ps2 to my Technika 26" tv/dvd combo using a red, green, blue AV component cable, I still cannot find how to tune in a channel to be able to play.

With the composite cable you so not need to retune a channel! You just need to select the correct AV channel from your remote......turn on the ps2 with a game playing and select AV on remote and keep pressing it till you get the Composite channel playing your ps2 game!

When i turn on my ps2(slim) i cant see or hear eny on the TV way is the happing plz help me

Check your A/V cable connections. They are the Yellow (Video), White (Left audio), and Red (Right audio)wires coming from the back of your PS2 to the connectors on your TV. Be sure they are plugged in and they have a tight connection. Also, be sure they are plugged into the appropriate jacks. They jacks are usually color-coded to match the connector type. Then check to make sure the plug that connects to the back of your console is in the correct port and is snug as well. A loose connection anywhere will prevent anything from coming up, the PS2 was infamous for that.

Aside from issues with A/V, be sure your TV is on and tuned to the correct source. If your PS2 plugs into an RF switch which plugs into the coaxial (cable) port on the back of your TV, the channel should match what the RF adapter is set to before turning on the console. If the PS2 is plugged into your TV through the A/V cables (The yellow, white, and red connectors we discussed earlier), make sure your TV is set to the proper source. The source channels could either be labeled "Video 1," "Video 2," or "Video 3," depending on your configuration. Also, the source could also be labeled "Game."

If none of the two solutions above work, then it appears your PS2 has bitten the dust. Best thing to do is give it a nice tombstone with a beautiful eulogy to make even the most battle-hardened tough guys cry like a baby

Just got a 2nd hand TV model CT-90119 and need to know how to tune tv in for Playstation2 and is there an instruction manual available to download for free? Sam

Most likely you need the RF adaptor that the cable from PS2 plugs into before connecting to TV. There is an automatic switch that shifts the display from "TV" to "Game" when the game console is turned on. Tune TV to channel 3 or 4.

I would like to know how to tune a PS2 into a mikomi portablt tv without loosing any other channel. So I can use my PS2 on channel 6?

Why don't you use the tulp wire to connect on AV3 port.
Yellow= Video Red= the sound cable right and White is the
sound cable left.

You can also use an scart adapter with tulps connection.
When you want to play PSP choose the AV port where you
did connected the the tulp conection.

This will work!

Will play ps1 game but not ps2

The PS2 has two different lasers, one for CD games and one for DVD games. The tuning for each is independent. If DVD games are working and CD games are not (backups or originals, PS1 or PS2) and cleaning the CD laser doesn't work and everything's connected together well then you may need to tune/align the CD laser. Just go to and type in 'PS2 laser alignment'. My favorite is the one from Sweden.

Connecting PS2 to an old TV

Plug the Red, Yellow, and White cords into their respective "IN" ports on the VCR. Run a coax line from the "out" port of the VCR to the coax port on TV. Some VCRs require you to tune to channel 3 or "LINE" which is typically the channel before 2 for this to work. To make things easier, you may want to purchase a modulator. This would allow you more easily set this up. The Mini-modulators aren't very expensive and can be purchased at virtually any electonics store.
