Cannot have 2 phones in use at the same time 25952
If someone calls and then I say pick up to another person they can't do that. I says ready, talk, then unavailable. Do you know how to fix this? Is it fixable or do I need to take it back?
In order to use the Call Transfer feature (applicable ONLY with additional handsets), you must have the Transfer ON/OFF set to ON through the menu of the transferring handset.
1. Press the mute/menu button until TRANSFER 41OFFshows in the display.
2. Use the CALLER ID-VOLUME (5or6) button or the touch tone pad on the handset and select 2ON.
3. Press mute/menu again to save.
You may return handset settings to the factory default setup using this menu.
1. Press the mute/menu button until DEFAULT 4NO shows in the display. NO is the default.
2. Use the CALLER ID-VOLUME (5or6) button on the handset to scroll to YES or NO.
NOTE: If you choose YES, all settings in the programmable menu return to the factory defaults.

Not unless the phone as 2 lines but u have to call the both people or the person you called can but it go's both ways you just have to press the talk button then call someone then press talk again then call that person then press talk again and you all three should be on the same line
The switch that the handpiece activates is not working. Could be optical, magnetic or physical. It may need cleaning, adjusting or a wire connection repaired. Also check the curly cord and its connections between the handpiece and telephone.
hello shaziniaz how to use your call waiting function is when you are on a call or when you are talking to someone on your phone there will be a beeping sound in your ear just tell the person you are talking with to hold on, and must look if the a call coming in you will see hold and answer you put the person on hold and then press answer and talk with person and call waiting after you finish you press back hold and talk back to the person you was talking with before. thank have a lovely day
is the ringer on the base or phone on? check that first.if that's ok, then plug a regular corded phone into the phone jack and see if there is dial tone.if there isn't any, try other jacks in the house. if still not working, call your phone company.
If you mean you want to have someone on each of your extensions listening to the same conversation, it can not happen. The reason for this is the first phone to pick up makes a connection with the base. The other phone will not be able to make that same connection as long as the first one is still on.
I just called GE/Thomson tech support (1-800-720-2094). GE cordless phones do not allow users to pick up an additional extension so that two people in the house can speak with a caller. He explained that it was for privacy. I will be taking back my system today. :(
