Your laptop screen has to be set to 1024 x 768 60 hz refresh.
this is the settings I have on all my hi def screens
just right click on the windows desktop / properties/ settings /advanced/ monitor set to 60 hz
hit ok to accept
hit ok to get back to display settings and set to 1024x768
now try it.

How do I hook up my acer iconia tab a500 to the tv?

Hi Cari,
There is a micro HDMI port on your tablet.
You can connect an HDMI cable to hook it to your TV.
Make sure that the one end of the cable should be a micro HDMI plug and the other end a normal one.
Also you must make sure that your TV supports HDMI connection.

Hope that helps.

No picture - only sound

Ok, on a hi-def tv, you must have a converter box capable of receiving Hi-def. If you are using a converter box from a satalite or cable tv service, try getting a Hi-def box. Also try hooking a vcr or dvd player to the tv in the non high def ports to varify that this is the problem. If you have any question please let me know, I hope this helps, good luck.

Speaker distortion on SHARP 37" Aquos Hi Def

When you are changing channels you are using the tuner of the sat reeiver. the tv does not know you are changing a channel . It is just receiving a constant signal from the SAT receiver. I would suspect a problem with the receiver. Try another one first .

Sony LCD cutting off image when hi-def cable hooked up.

This will happen invariably. Depends on the nature of the signal that is being received. Some will fill entire screen, others will not.

Just go with the flow - tv is operating normally.
