Acer 4620Z Crystal Eye Webcam Not Found.
I've recently received this laptop as a present. Apparently, it has been bought from another person because it was not in a box, and it did not have any disks or papers with it.
Unfortunately, I believe I need these disks and papers that I do not have possession of.
Whenever I try to run the Crystal Eye Webcam it says, "Camera not found!". I have gone to the website to try and download any webcam programs and drivers they have, and I've even tried the trick of taking all the pictures out of the pictures folder.
It's not working. Can someone please tell me what to do?

- hi mine is the same problem.... my laptop is acer 4935g....... my problem is my acer crystal eye web cam is not detected...... i even tried by formatting my laptop n installed a driver downloaded from acer. but it still not worked. then i tried by adding a new hardware -images- in that i am finding only scanner devices......plz help me in this case..- abulhasanMay 17, 2009

- Yes, I have a new ACER laptop, whenever you click Acer Crystal Eye webcam it ends up saying "CAMERA NOT FOUND!" - GuestBest Solution

Hi...
let me help you with that... the only thing that the webcam is not detected nor work properly because is not the valid.right driver for it. check the part number and model laptops and go to acer.com and follow the necessary procedure to download. and install it properly...

Download the latest driver for the crystal eye webcam from the acer site, install the driver (will not work yet) then go to device manager and image devices, right click and scan for new hardware devices and then widnows vista will pop up saying installing the cam. Thats it. Worked for me.

I have this problem on a new Acer Extensa 5630EZ and I'm pretty sure there is no camera in the machine.

i have cer extensa note book 4620 and by mistake my web cam is deleted and i have no cd tp reinstal it.

I I am having a similar problem with my aspire one netbook
Windows keeps saying one of the usb devices attached is not functioning.
I tried every thing possible including a acer recovery but it still is not working.
