Question about Whirlpool Estate TAWS750PQ 27-Inch Washer

Spin cycle not working well

The washer has worked for years and we have done nothing to alter the loading, etc. Now, I have usually had to double spin my loads anyway to get enough water out for my satisfaction, however, the clothes are very damp (wet?) now after only one spin. Even after multiple spins they are more wet than they used to be after the regular wash cycle finish spin. I would rather fix this myself if poss, but have no manual.

Rough, uneven Cotton Load spin cycle

Make sure the washer sits level on the floor and that the machine can't be rocked around due to uneven foot adjustment. The feet usually have rubber cups that cover the metal bottoms--one of the cups may be damaged or missing entirely. Hope this helps!

My machine will not run the spin cycles, and makes a very loud noise during the spin cycles, sounds like a bad motor or bearing?

I'm not a repair professional. I am just a 78 year man who has done his own washer repair for about 50 years. You might have a bad lid switch that keeps the washer from spinning. You might have an unbalanced load in the machine which makes the noise. The unbalanced load might also be the cause of not spinning.

The washer on my double stack won't drain or spin.

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:

Enter your model number (###.######) and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

Without a complete model number, I'm guessing but usually, washers have a lid lock built in that prevents the washer from draining or spinning unless the lid is closed.

If the lid lock is defective, the washer probably won't go into spin mode.

Check yours for the lock, where it attaches and replace it. It's probably not too expensive.

On high spin cycle our Roper washer makes a kind of "howling" noise. The noise is not there at low spin cycle. Thanks for any ideas!

Check your belt. The pullys may be loose also' If you own your home look into getting a home warranty. Cost about 350 a year but covers almost everything from pool pumps, plumbing, electrical, appliances, etc. I have had mine for 3 years and it has probably saved me 5000$. Washer died, i paid 50$ for the service call and done. Pool pump died, that ****** cost 350, paid 50 again..done. Had a major plumbing issue, took them about 8 hours of labor and i paid 50 bucks. It is priceless. Her is a link to the company.

Good luck,

Front load washer doesn't spin

My Maytag® Neptune® washer filled with water, but it won't spin or drain-what now?

Start by making sure the machine is plugged into a live (working) electrical outlet. Then check the appropriate circuit breaker and reset it if necessary (or check the fuse if you have a fuse box).

Next, inspect the drain hoses and remove any kinks. Take a look at the drain, too - if it's clogged, call your usual drain service person.

Then close the washer door and firmly press the START/STOP button. In a few moments, after the door locks, the washer should begin to spin. (For your safety, the washer will not tumble or spin unless the door is closed and locked.)

If this doesn't work, please contact Customer Service at 1-800-688-9900 for toll-free assistance and service scheduling if necessary.
