Are you using a bootleg copy of windows? You'll have to pay for a new windows cd. Unless you know someone that has a windows cd for you to use.

I need a win 7 driver

Click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll through all of your devices or for Windows 7 click start right click on computer select properties in the left pane device manager scroll through all of your devices. If you see a yellow question / exclamation mark ? ! or a Red X you will need to update the drivers for this device right click select update driver/reinstall driver software. If you can see your usb device but its not working scroll to Ports(Com&Ltd) right click to update driver If you computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it. or you might have to download them Rather doing a driver hunt which can take hours. Windows XP/Vista/7/8 This might take some time being a freeware driver solution Note: The Driver program will find all of your outdated drivers This will automatically search for and find the correct driver you will have to update every driver individually once you update you might be asked whether you want to restart or make a system restore point. Click no to both of these then continue updating each driver free then restart once all of the drivers have been updated. also at cnet on the home page you should see a search tab just type in what you are looking for IE: Motherboard name sound drivers. Place a tick in either windows software or all software box. You might have to try a few times to get it right. My friend has an acer an she is trying to put the network adapter that were originaly on the computer becaus her boyfriend deleted it

If I am understanding you. Then all that was done. Was to remove the drivers for them. So they won't show up. However they will appear with exclamation point in device manager.
(start/run/devmgmt.msc) then we just need to reinstall the drivers. to help you identify the needed driver check here they can be stored on a flash drive and select update driver and point to the flash drive for the needed files.
hope this helps

Recent got the wireless usb adapter for my Dell Desktop. I have run the software and the device is detecting the internet but it keeps telling me there is a problem because it is unable to renew the ip...

First, make sure that that wireless card is configured to obtain an IP address automatically, unless you are at work and they give you a static IP address. You can check the configuration by going to the properties page of the wireless adapter. You get to this page through Control Panel > Network and Internet(or something similar depending on version of windows) Right click on the wireless connection and go to properties. Right click on TCP IPV 4 and the settings should be set to auto obtain ip address.

If you are using a static IP address, then you have to manually type in the ip address in the window above.

Try the following to renew the IP address.

Turn off the cable modem, the router and your computer. After 10 seconds, plug in the cable modem, after 20 seconds, plug in the router, after 20 seconds, turn on your computer and see if this helps.

Another option to renew the ip address is the following,
Go to Start > Run and type "command" or "cmd"
Then type "ipconfig /release" once this is done type "ipconfig /renew"

If this helps thumbs up my solution!

How Do I Close the Netgear Wireless Adapter Window

For that you have to disable startup.
For that press windows key +R key so you can see run then type in "msconfig" without "" then press ok.
Then you can see system configuration utility click on last tab startup and disable all startup or netgear utility then apply and restart computer then it not open at startup.
Let me know if you need further assistance.

My EUB-9702 suddenly stopped working on one computer. I tried another EUB-9702 adapter but same result. Then I tried to update the driver to using a newer CD but the older driver won't...

Have you tried to uninstall the driver through the Control Panel first, before trying to update the driver? Not all updates will delete the old driver for you. If that doesn't work, you best off contact the company or first run through their FAQs for a possible solution. I had a similar problem and had to reinstall Windows (and all my software).

Wireless connection - can not renew the IP address

Here's what you can do Sometimes you can simply right-click the computer icon in the task bar near the clock of your XP desktop (If this icon is present). This will go through a process of resetting your IP address.
But if you do not have this option, you can go to START>RUN and type cmd. At the command line type ipconfig /release (or winipcfg /release in earlier versions of Windows). Then hit ENTER. Next, type ipconfig /renew and you should get a new IP address from the router.
If this doesn't work, renew the IP address. You will have to nullify the IP address on the PC, then shut the computer down. Next, unplug the cable modem for a couple of minutes, then plug it back in again. Once all of the modem lights are green, power up the PC again. It should automatically renew its IP at boot.
Unplug the router, then plug it back in AFTER you plug in the modem, but before you power up the PC. The router will need to supply the PC with a new IP address. Good luck, hope this helps or gives you something to try.
