Re: help

You likely have a marginally bad memory chip, if you have 2 memory modules run with only one ,
But it is more likely its over heating, clean out the dust ,
open the case and let a fan blow across the mother board ,
how long does it stay running.

How to tell if a hard drive needs replacing on a samsung r519

1. If you have blue screen give us the exception code (0x000000) 2. How did you get to this point? 3. What is the condition of you install disk? Windows setup could just be messing up because the windows disk is damaged. Find an OEM copy of windows and set it up to boot from flash drive or external drive (CDs at prone to damage if you want a reliable windows install only use optical media if its in pristine condition.)

Aliens Colonial Marines crashes the PC on start up

Blue screen can mean many different things. Corrupt software, OS, even bad hardware. Start by uninstalling anything that was installed prior to the problem started.

You next options are to do a clean OS install and start over. From there you could start testing for bad memory.

These are tuff, tedious, and time consuming to get fixed. Most people end up wiping the system and starting over. gl

Asus eee pc bios in this system is not fully acpi compliant

These errors can be misleading. Try setting the BIOS to default.

Remove all USB attached devices.

Test one DIMM at time. One slot at a time. To eliminate possible bad RAM. Unplug PC. Opening case. Remove all RAM. Use static precautions!

Re-install Windows. Clean install works best. All data will be lost.

Lastly you may have other hardware problems. If it does another blue screen after reloading windows, especially with a clean install.

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your "((motherboard to your hard drive))" make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error hope this helps

When I play a game on my computer about 15 -30 minutes later it shuts down. Originally it had a 430 Watt power supply. I have now replaced it with a 650 Watt power supply. The hardware currently has a AMD...

Ok it was not your power pack but your setup in my opinion needed some extra Watts.

This problem is to do with heat, your PC is getting to hot and is shutting down to prevent it from being permanently damaged.
Click here for Hardware monitor, on the right hand side of the screen, click 1.16 setup, english
Click here for GPU-Z, click TechPowerUp GPU-Z v0.4.7

This will download both Temperature monitors.

Temperature's on the CPU should NOT exceed 30-40 degrees.
Temperature's on the Graphic Card should not exceed 65-70 degrees.

To solve this problem you must clean your whole computer case and components of dust. Particular attention must be given to the Processor and Graphics Card. Use a paint brush and a vacuum cleaner. Dust cooler off outside if neccessary.

Cooler Temps mean better Performance and a longer life span.
Ensure that the thermal interface paste is sufficient.

Install as many Fans as possible.

Please take the time to rate this solution it is the thumbs up on the top right hand side of this solution.

I am installing xp, I have a Celeron 478, I am having a blue screen IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, what this means?

This means that your unit is having an error on one of the hardware installed on your PC, first thing to check is to change the memory module of your computer, this can be the first possible thing that you have a problem..

Hope this helps

Power to house shut down momentarily now Gateway GT5473E dead.

OK is it a brand built PC (ie. DELL, IBM)???

If so, the partition with the Vista backup.... is this the factory backup that came with the PC?

If so you should be able to access it somehow through the factory Setup/BIOS screen. There should be maybe an option to RESTORE to factory settings or something?

Computer freezes after about 30 minutes

hi, what happened that made it start behaving this way? check that the bios settings are correct, also after post hold down the f5 key-this will give you the option to get in safe mode, from there you can troubleshoot much better. try and remember what caused the problem. you can try a system restore.there are many reasons why the condition of lock up will happen, sounds like a power management issue, or overheat, or just a software issue. does it lock up while it is in use or just sitting with the screen saver? also check and see if it runs hot. if you need further assistance reply. good luck!
