There is no solution other than replacing the phone with a different model. Motorola REFUSES to admit a characteristic design flaw with the V3i phone: it drains the battery even when OFF. I've replaced the batteries twice, used a Motorola desktop charger to charge the batteries, swapped the batteries with known good batteries, and so on...all efforts failed. The problem is the phone; not the batteries or charger. Since my phones are out of warrenty, Motorola wants $75 per phone to "diagnose and fix" the problem. Well, to hell with them...no wonder they're laying off a lot of employees; they've become dishonest like most businesses.
Incidentally, I have two identical RAZR V3i phones and BOTH drain the battery when OFF plus the talk time is about 10 minutes before the battery is drained. This only happens on GSM phones; mine are on the AT&T system.
Conversely, my two RAZR V3m phones (on the Verizon system) do NOT have this problem.

I set the master and app security codes and forgot them because I didn't use them. Now I need to get into the security and can't. Is there a programming sequence to retrieve my codes? I have used every combination I usually use and none of them work. I really would like to not have to try to sequentially find the numbers.
