Re: battery

There is no solution other than replacing the phone with a different model. Motorola REFUSES to admit a characteristic design flaw with the V3i phone: it drains the battery even when OFF. I've replaced the batteries twice, used a Motorola desktop charger to charge the batteries, swapped the batteries with known good batteries, and so on...all efforts failed. The problem is the phone; not the batteries or charger. Since my phones are out of warrenty, Motorola wants $75 per phone to "diagnose and fix" the problem. Well, to hell with wonder they're laying off a lot of employees; they've become dishonest like most businesses.

Incidentally, I have two identical RAZR V3i phones and BOTH drain the battery when OFF plus the talk time is about 10 minutes before the battery is drained. This only happens on GSM phones; mine are on the AT&T system.

Conversely, my two RAZR V3m phones (on the Verizon system) do NOT have this problem.

My razr v3 died yesterday. tried all night charging, still dead. no juice to turn on. bought 2 years ago, worth new battery?

Well... I would say no.. Not worth battery.. I had the same thing happen to me where my phone wouldn't charge and we bought a new battery for $50.00 and then we find out my phone is shot.. so I would strongly recommend getting a new phone..

My Motorola V3c will fully charge the battery in about 15 minutes. But the charge lasts maybe 3-4 hours. It is a new phone.

Moto Razr components where taken off the assembly line years ago and all parts used are refurbished or have a bad battery, case closed........the razr has a few common flaws...... ear piece, LCD, and battery tends to go out without notice and on a rare occasion wont work right out of the box.....Working at Sprint PCS I saw 1 out of every 15 Razrs have problems straight from the box....take the phone back to the staore and they will giv you a new battery as they should be away of the hiccups associated with this device!!!! :D and by the way, 3-4 hrs use from a 15 min charge is awesome.......just your battery has an internal flaw that is causing it to transfer too much power.....(i.e. thats how it is able to charge so fast, but also why it dies so fast) if you have another razr laying around try that battery as long as the lettering on the battery is the example : a battery with the code bt50 and br50 are not interchangeable.
Good Luck and pls rate this post!!!! :D

Motorola razr battery problem

The only solution is to get a new battery. When you do, charge it completely when you first get it, then discharge it until it dies. This will maximize the life of the battery.
