SOUND PROBLEMS WITH JVC GR-A1U CAMCORDER

The video still works fine on my camcorder, but the last time I used it, the only sound we taped was static. The camcorder had not been used in a long while. Could this mean that although the battery held a charge, that perhaps it's time to buy a new one? I don't want to go out an buy a new battery, if the whole camera needs an overhaul. It might be cheaper just to buy a new camera....

I have the same problem. Can hear sound very faintly under the static noise

  • L-Rob Mar 12, 2009

There are sound gaps during playback. It occurs every 4 - 5 seconds and lasts about 1 second. Don't know what is causing problem or how to troubleshoot..

The ambient sound is sometimes really messed up by some sort of static noise, not only on tape, but also in the real time audio monitor. So that should kind of rule out the dirt on the magnetic head... It comes and it goes. And when I use the hand-held microphone plugged in the camera's jack the sound is pristine. How can I fix this? Thanks!

Run a head cleaner through the unit, More than likely you simply have a clogged audio head. It may take a few passes to clear it out.

Do i need software for jvc mini camcorder model gr-d347u

If you are asking about software for transferring your tape to your computer, your computer should recognize when your camcorder is plugged into it and it will install the appropriate driver.

Attached is a link to the user manual. You will need to refer to the "editing" section. This should have all of the instructions that you need.

E04 Error

Eject tape leaving cover open and remove battery. Re-insert battery and re-insert tape also leaving cover open. Keep repeating this process until eo4 message disappears. This worked for my GR-DVL100e after about four repeats. After getting your camcorder operational, they say it is good practice not to leave tape in camcorder when not in use.

No playback on JVC GR-D72

It souunds like the problem is in the Vid-PC connection. I suggest you start by downloading the latest version of whatever software you have used to capture and view.

Also - uninstall any hardware in the PC that is used to capture (just remove from system device list) and then restart the PC and let it detect and re-install.

If you don't know how to do these steps, then you'll need geek help.

GR-D72 Mini DV Digital Camcorder makes clicking sound when tape running

the clicking is from the capstain turning the tape -- and perhaps the metal cage holding the tape.. if it is bent then the movement of the capstain may be pushing it in an eccentric fashion.

send it in for repair.

Dirty video head! Playback newly opened blank tape for five minutes, after that eject, reinsert, playback then eject again five times, these will serve as your video head cleaner, never use "video head cleaning cassette tape" for it will only damage your camera. Most camera has built in video head cleaner installed inside and activates only when you insert, initial play/rec, and ejects a tape. If the problem is still there you need pro fix then.[:0)

Usually when the recording is started it takes around 10 to 15 seconds for the camera to recognise and display the duration of remaining tape, if you feel there is a problem, try using different brand tape.

JVC GR-D250 does not record properly

When playing the tape in the camera itself, do you hear sound? If so, its something with the connection cable... is not, you will need a professional repair, you can do nothing except the head clean which you did? Sorry.
