Sounds like the Backlight is out. There is a fuse on the motherboard that can blow and cause this to happen.

You can fix it bu applying a drop of solder and bridge this fuse.

You most likely bricked it from an update. Depending on your psp's model you can diy a solution or your stuck with sending into Sony.

My psp's screen is blank even after turned on.

Use a <a href=>PSP Repair Guide </a> to open your PSP, clean the parts of the logic board that came in contact with the water and soap. You can use alcohol and paper towels or tooth brush.

PSP slim sound but blank screen

you might have to open it back up and rewire the screen then see if it works.

There must be something wrong which you can probably not correct yourself. Seems like there's a problem with it's firmware.
Have you been trying to put hacked firmware onto it? If so there's a pretty good chance your PSP is bricked and the following sugestion won't help you.

You can contact Sony for possible solutions to your problem. If it's still under warranty ask them to exchange it for a new one.

Help please

I know What Excactly What to do.....................

1.Turn it on
2.turn it to hold mode
3.Insert a umd
4.a Box appears
5.return it to normal mode(not in stand by)
6.Then turn it off
Now it works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This happened also to i know what to do

Psp turns on but there is a blank screen

it probably froze try and remove battery. if that dont work turn it on and wait a second then hold the power switch in the off position but do not let go until it turns off that should completey restart it.
