Question about Canon CanoScan LiDE 70 Flatbed Scanner

Scanning I have Windows Vista Inspiron 6400 Laptop.I have down loaded the soft ware for scanner that is Vista compatable.When I try scanning I get a window from Microsoft Windows that says CancCsan Toolbox Application has stoped working. I gave deleted All existing hardware Many time start all over still can not Able to scan. Help

This is all due to driver compatibility issue,please thry this,first remove all software n drivers for the scanner ,download driver from this site by selecting ur operating system,n install,do remember to reboot ur laptop after removing previous software.

Hello, I have a BenQ S2W 3000U FlatBed Scanner and want to use it with Windows Vista but do not have the driver. Please how do I get one?

Sorry, it seems no Vista / 7 drivers are available at the BenQ site.
Let Windows try to find it, otherwise use an older PC for scanning.

Download the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor from the Microsoft site and run it on your XP system. Plug your camera to your computer and run the program. It should tell you if there are drivers available and if it is compatible with W7.

I've just bought the xerox 2400 scanner off someone, but it doesn't have any instructions. Is it just a case of plugging it in, and scanning?

The drivers for this scanner from Windows Vista down through Win98 are here: You can also order a replacement CD with the OEM PaperPort software that came with the scanner.

You must install the software for the listed OSes before trying to connect the scanner to the computer. I can't find this scanner in the Microsoft Compatability Center listing for Win7 Compatability. If you have Win7, try plug and play (sometimes the generic driver will work but you may lose the front panel buttons on the scanner). Alternatively try the Vista drivers. (Uninstall any driver that doesn't work before trying the other.)

since This driver enables scanning with the Windows Photo Gallery on Windows Vista or the Scanner and Camera Wizard on Windows XP. some features may no longer be available when using this basic driver.feature driver for Windows Vista or Windows XP Professional x64 . Are you saying
The scanner worked with negative with XP but not with Vista?
Uf so this is a drver problem
Two thing to try- 1, Go to Programs/Accessories/system Tools Compatability Wizard and rest to XP then try.
Or 2 Google for suitable Vista Driver

Mustek Be@rPaw 1200 cs scanner/Vista OP system

Very simple: download from Mustek site ONLY VPDriver.exe. Then open it and store files in a directory. Open Hardware directory on System properties, locates the unistalled item related to USB scanner, select reinstall drivers and point to the directory previous. Vista locate drivers, intall them and our scanner runs correctly with all programs (ex. OpenOffice Draw, etc).

Visioneer 4400 Flatbed Scanner - Compatible with Windows Vista

Thank you ever so much for the above solution. My Visioneer could not work with my VISTA but now after I followed the above procedure I have managed to perform my first scan.
