Toshiba DVD Player - How do I get the DVD out of the Tray when the power is no longer working?

Open the top cover by removing all the screws around the cover and the two screws on the sides.
Gently lift up the cover from the backside up and pull back to free it from the front.
Now you can see the DVD player is exposed. Gently lift the DVD disc out from the back.

Voila!

This does not fix the "try not opening problem though"

Hi friend. Try this:
Press the power button on the Toshiba DVD player remote. Press the "Open/Close" button to eject the disc tray. Remove any disc that might be on the tray before proceeding.
Press the following keys on the remote in this order: 2,4,0,3,9,6,0.
Press the "9" key on the remote.
Press the "Open/Close" button to close the disc tray. Press the power button to turn the Toshiba DVD player on.

How can I change the region on my Toshiba SD K860?

1. Power on the DVD player
2. Press the Open/close button on your remote control to open the drive tray and remove any disk
3. Press 2403960
4. Press 9 for multi-region playback. DO NOT Press Enter button on your remote control
5. You will see a 9 (region-free) on the TV (right corner)
6. Press the Open/close button on your remote control to close the drive tray
7. Power off the DVD player
8. Power on the DVD player and it is region free.

Unlock toshiba SD800ky

1. Power on the DVD player
2. Press the Open/close button on your remote control to open the drive tray; remove any disk and leave the tray open.
3. Press 2,4,0,3,9,6,0
4. Press 9 for multi-region playback. You will see a "9" appear in the upper right hand corner of the TV. DO NOT Press Enter button on your remote control
5. Press the Open/close button on your remote control to close the drive tray, and power off the DVD player before it says "no disc".
6. Power the DVD player back on and it is region free !!! Woohoo !

Press the Enter button on your remote control to change the region to 1 for
region 1, 2 for region 2, and so on, or 9 for multi-region playback, Press the Open button on your remote control to close the drive tray, Power off the DVD player, Power on the DVD player

The dvd player tray does not open

# Ensure that any locking feature on the DVD player is disabled.
# Attempt to open the disc tray.
# If the issue is not resolved, turn off the DVD player.
# Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet for 10 minutes.
# Plug the power cord back into a functional wall outlet.
# Attempt to open the disc tray.
# If the disc tray still does not open, simultaneously press the POWER + STOP + EJECT buttons.

Toshiba SD-K760 region codes.

I found this on another site, worked for me, hope it helps...
