I have an jailbroken ipod touch 3rd gen and it wont let me sync my music or movies at all it says sync and goes through the process 1 to 4 steps but no music appears on my ipod.

You shouldn't have a problem because it is jail-broken. If the ipod touch fails to stay connected the whole time try: 1.Keeping it extremely still during sync. 2.Restore ipod and try again. If it does stay connected you likely don't have music or videos set to sync. Read this article to understand more about syncing your ipod touch: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1386

I have a 2GB Ipod and recently tried to connect it to the computer but it gives me a "device Not Recognized" message. There is apparently no driver assigned to my device so I would like to know which usb...

I understood that this is an Apple Ipod..and you are trying to connect it to a windows bassed computer ..so ..there is no driver for apple product in windows...the connection and sync is made by Itunes...Download and installl Itunes for windows..and after that when you wil connect the Ipod..this will be visible in the Itunes and will let you add music in the Itunes Library ..and after that ..click on the ipod..(by name or device ...will be in list ) ..and on its category ..choose audio ..and sync...in this moment it will sync the music from the Itunes library into the Ipod..and every time you will want to add new music..just add them into the library and after that when you press sync ..it will sync the music that is added...but remember ..there is the possibility that if you delete some tune from library ..when you sync and if it is not there anymore.it may delete it from the Ipod..or may restore it in the library ...It is a little more strange than the usually mp3 players ..but this is the only way to work with Apple in wondows..

My computer crashed. I dowloaded itunes to new one but it won't let me sync the songs I didn't purchase from itunes on my nano.

iTunes will let you transfer your purchased songs from your iPod to your new iTunes as detailed here
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848

For the rest of your iPod music, you will need to use a program like TouchCopy to copy your iPod content onto your computer or straight to your new iTunes. TouchCopy lets you copy all your music, video, photos, contacts, notes, calendars, games and more from your iPod.

To copy your iPod music using TouchCopy, you will need to...
1. Download and install TouchCopy on your computer. TouchCopy works with all iPod types and the iPhone. There are free PC and Mac downloads available from here
http://www.wideanglesoftware.com/touchcopy/

2. Ensure that iTunes is closed before connecting your iPod. Then start TouchCopy and connect your iPod. TouchCopy will have fixed your iTunes preferences so that iTunes will not sync music or video with your iPod while TouchCopy is running. These changes are restored when you quit TouchCopy.

3. Use TouchCopy to copy all your iPod content to your computer hard drive or straight into iTunes.

4. You can then use iTunes to re-sync your iPod, which will re-load your iPod with all your music and let you add new content to it too.

I have a soundlab iphono turntable. how do i transfer from pc to my ipod? it copies to pc itunes but will not go on ipod.

Are you able to play the music on your PC using iTunes? If so, then:

1: Connect your iPod and let the sync finish, but leave the iPod connected.
2: In iTunes, find you iPod on the left side of the screen, and click on it. This will bring up your iPod's summary info.
3: Find the "Music" tab across the top, and check "sync all music"
4: click "apply" down in the bottom right corner. This will cause your iPod to sync again, and should load up your album rips.

Ipod touch wound sync to my computer. i had a nano first. when i tryed to sync my ipod touch i did not reg. to my computer, i just tryed to copy my music to the new ipod. my daughter shares our music from...

Open iTunes (without iPod connected). Create a new playlist and copy songs you want on your iPod into that list. Next connect your iPod. Once iTunes recognizes your iPod then go to the music tab and click on 'sync playlist only' and chose the new playlist that you created. Click sync. Only the songs in your new playlist should be copied to your iPod.

Tracks disappeared from ipod after sync

when you sync the ipod itunes only syncs what you select.
it is possible your music list got uncheck or you had checked only synced check songs.
what happens then is the sync will replace you full library with only the songs checked.
when you connect to itunes and see the summary page. on the tabbed line just above the main contents window choose music.
look at your settings and see how it is set up.
set it to sync all music
then it will sync all the songs on your playlists every time.

you can also add and delete music by on your summary page uncheck automaticallu sync music.

then you can click on your music folder of your ipod and drag and drop song to the first column of the contents window. if you have any problems let me know

Cant delete songs off my ipod

Two possible solutions:

Solution 1. Go to iTunes, go to Edit, Select All, go to Edit once again, select Delete. This will clear your whole music library. Connect you iPod and let it sync. It will delete everything in your iPod. The problem with this is that it will delete all your music in iTunes as well so you better back it up elsewhere.

Solution 2. Go to iTunes, connect your iPod, let it sync. Do not disconnect your iPod. On the left hand side of the screen you will see "Library", "Store", "Devices", etc. Go to "Devices" and you will see your iPod's name there. Click on it and you will see on the right hand side of your screen your iPod, with some menus tabs. On the first tab (Summary), make sure that "Sync only checked songs" is activated. Then go to the second tab ("Music"). Make sure "Sync music" is activated and "Selected playlists" is also activated. Make sure NONE of the playlists is activated. At the bottom right hand side of the scree there is a button that says "Sync". Press it and it will sync no songs into your iPod. That should clear the songs but leave the contents in iTunes intact. If you want to put some playlists in your iPod, then check only those and only those will be added to your iPod.

Hope this helps.
