Why won't my brew station brew the whole 12 cups at on time? We have to constantly turn off then on again.

You probably need to de-scale the brewer. Use cleaning strength vinegar and run it through the brewer until vinegar comes out, then let it sit fir 4 hours or so, then flush plenty of water through to get rid of the vinegar.

Maybe you'd find your answer a little quicker if you posted your question somewhere besides the refrigerator forum.

My grinder will not turn on. The cup and lid are on lockThe light are on. When i press the start button it does not grind

The best case is that the contacts that turn the motor on are not working, maybe need cleaning. Someone would have to open up the grinder to check and correct that. The worst case would be that the rotor or field coil to the motor became fried. That happened to me when I tried to grind damp sea salt.

I just want to know how to clean it after use - it is a coffee grinder, SmartGrind

How to Clean SmartGrind Blade Coffee Grinder - White

1. Always unplug the unit before cleaning. Wash the lid in warm, soapy water - not in a dishwasher.

Wipe the grinding bowl, base, and other parts with a slightly damp cloth or sponge. Take special care

around the blades; they are sharp! Dry parts thoroughly. Do not immerse grinding bowl, base or plug

in liquid or under running water.

2. Never use harsh detergents or abrasive cleansers or scouring pads to clean any

3. To remove residue or aromas left behind by nuts, grind one tablespoon of baking

soda in the bowl then wipe thoroughly.
4. Use the built-in cord wrap on the underside of the unit to store the cord

I've had a Krups Burr Coffee Grinder for a couple of weeks, and began to have trouble turning it on the second time I used it. I think the problem relates to the lid not positioning correctly or not being...

The tops of those grinders are made of hard plastic. Check the bottom of the lid for any broken or cracked pieces that could prevent it from engaging the grinder motor. If none are present, it's possible there are grounds stuck inside preventing the motor from turning on. Turn the unit upside down and shake it. You can also use a can of compressed air to blow out the hub. If this doesn't work, you may have a defective machine and you should return it to the store for replacement. Below is a link to Krups USA for further help.

Blade is now loose, unconected to the rod or spindle.

I had this same problem. This is fixable if you are willing. I repaired mine because I am stubborn and I bought mine used and had no warranty. I found that if you pull out the bottom of the coffee grinder you can access the inside motor assembly. * Note, that the bottom is designed to pull out a couple inches and it acts as an electric cord caddy. You must carefully pry it all the way out. It is a good idea to put a pencil mark for reference on the bottom of the coffee grinder that lines up with the bottom lid piece you are removing because you must install the bottom lid in the same orientation in which you removed it. There is a slot where the electric cord sits in as well so pay attention as you pull it out. It is likely you will just have to yank the plastic bottom cover out. This will probably snap an internal lock tab off the bottom cover, as did happen with mine, but it still sat securely enough back inside after the repair was complete for my liking. After you fix your blade you can easily just glue the bottom cover on if you damage your lock tabs and then just do with out the cord caddy feature.(thats for little old ladies and neat freaks any way) Now that you have the bottom cover removed, Look at the motor spindle, it is in the center of the bottom of the motor. There is a slot in it. Use a screwdriver in this slot to keep it from spinning while you grab the hard plastic cone that sits on top of the grinder blade. Try putting your pliers down flush to the very bottom of the grinder before you grip the blade assembly, as it will minimize any gouging of the plastic cone on the top of the blade assembly. There are no flats on this cone so you cant use a socket or nut driver. Spin thescrew-driver counter- clockwise until the blade comes off. The blade assembly is threaded on to the motor spindle and it comes off easily. I had to lay my grinder on the floor and kneel on it to free my hands to remove the blade. So it can be done alone. Now that you have the blade off you will see that the blade has worked itself free and is just floating around in the threaded cone. Now you can either contact Bodum and demand a new blade assembly or you can repair the blade assembly as well. I cut off the plastic cone and was left with a threaded insert, I was able to configure nuts and washers and reattached the blade without the plastic cone material. It may not be as prettty but it will never break again! Like I said I am stubborn......

No cofee just beeping

Make sure every piece is in place. Usually the culprit behind the beeping is an out of place or damaged Grind Basket Lid - if it is in its proper place and you still get beeping even after unplugging the machine, then I would suspect that it is damaged - call Cuisinart for a replacement lid.

Burr grinder GVX212

I had the same problem, took it all apart, separated the two halves, and looked into the guts of the machine, not an easy task. Fiddled with this and that, and looked at the back of the switch mechanism, and heard it making a 'click' when depressed, so put it all back together, to no avail...It turns out the grinder needs to have two limit switches engaged, one between the lid of the ground coffee hopper and the underside of the grinder hopper housing, and the other between the grinder lid and the base of the unit. This last limit switch was my problem, it seems the lid wasn't making contact with the limit switch, so the unit didn't run. I cleaned out the narrow gap that the grinder lid sits within, pressed the lid down until I heard a small 'click' , pressed the on switch, and presto! it works. You can see this very tiny switch if you take off the grinder lid, and look in the narrow gap it sits in at a position of about three o'clock ( the back of the machine when viewed from the top being 12 o'clock. Hope this helps anyone else who can't find their receipt within the one year warranty period. This is the best burr grinder I've found for the money, and I'm glad mine's still o.k.
