Question about Samsung SCH-u740 Cellular Phone
Ive been looking all over but have been unable to find how to take my U740 apart to replace the broken inner lcd screen with a new one. Anyone know how? Ive got the tools to do it, I just cant figure out how to get to it. Thanks.
What I did is when you flip the phone open sideways you see 3 rectangles on the left hand edge. Pry off the smallest one and there is a screw under it. Then you can pry off the front faceplate.

If you take all the 7 screws off, you'll need to stick your nail in from the bottom, and slide it up. Just work with it, and you will gradually get it off. One side, then the next. I pushed a little harder than I would have liked, but it did come off. And careful, the side buttons will fall off. You'll need to put them back on when you put the phone back together. --Laurie

The replacement LCD will cost you about 45$ you could just go pay $50 to get it fixed from the store even if you do not have insurance. there are probably some little black/grey dots covering the screws/hex once you get those off you should be able to get the cover off after that its pretty easy.
