Remote quit. now no dvd (by 2 users)

the remote had a buttom named "who input" which we used to access dvd's. The universal remote does not and I can't find anything in the menu process that will allow me to access a dvd. Please help

I have the same ******* problem and i cant get to the Input selection either.
