Question about Zojirushi BBCC-X20 Home Bakery Supreme Bread Maker
I have a hitachi breadmaker and did not use it for about one year. When I tried to make bread it seemed to be working fine but the loaf when cooked looked like it didn't mix properly.
I had the same problem after storing my machine for several years, BUT, I lucked out...I just added a little warm water to my pan and then turned the machine on and let the paddle turn a few rotations and walla!!....it freed itself and is now making great loaves once again!

Your problem is probably two-fold:
1) The drive belt is worn or broken and needs to be replaced.
2) Is the pan blade hard (or impossible) to turn by hand? If so, the shaft and seal assembly on the pan needs to be disassembled and cleaned before replacing the belt or it will soon, if not immediately, break again.
Hope this helps!

My bread machine has been stored as well. It is not mixing the ingredients properly and the reply given was very helpful but I am not sure how to disassemble and clean the shaft and seal area. Can anyone help? The instruction manual is useless!
