If you haven't fixed it yet try powering it on and leave it on until the battery is drained out, then fully charge and see if it works.

Frozen

There is a small pin hole reset button, you will need a small pin to push the button on the inside, hold the button for about 20 seconds.

Zen is dead

Sounds like a battery problem - either the battery is totally dead or just needs recharging - note that when the battery totally loses its charge, I believe it is sometimes not possible to recharge it using the usb port and software method (NOTE you MUST have the software installed and running for it to charge this way).. you may have to charge it using the connector to the power adapter.

My Creative Zen Frozen in Docked Screen

Hello,

The following worked for me. Go to the Creative Zen Support warranty info page of their site:

http://www.creative.com/products/mp3/MP3PlayerRecoveryTool/welcome.asp?

I ran the recovery tool with my zen connected to the computer and it changed from being in a docked state to updating firmware, after it had done this it worked fine again.

On the bottom left side there is a pin hole. Get a paper clip straighten the end and stick it in the hole. This is the reset button.
