Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

Can not power up HP AIO 7410.

Printer will not power up. Have had power supply checked by technician to be OK. Is there a way to power on printer like holding down key while plugging in to outlet of otherwise checking power on board.

You may have a damaged power socket if the power cord was tripped over by someone.
Else the on board electronics is fried.
there are no secret buttons for test.

My hp 7410 will not power up. Thinking it might be the power supply, I purchased a used power supply on ebay but it still does not work. (I have already check out the obvious.)

Make sure ALL of the covers are closed.Top cover, paper jam covers etc.
Believe it or not that prevents a lot of printers from starting is something is open, even slightly. If there are any twist locks make sure they're turned all the way shut.

HP 7410 will not boot. It powers up and the HP logo appears on the screen with a progress bar. The display then scrambles and the power light flashes green. No buttons work or do anything.

connect the printer directly to the wall socket for the power supply if it is connected thrugh surge protector.
perform a reset :

unplug the power cable .
press and hold # and 6 key on the printer..
plug in the cable wait for 20 secs then release the buttons..
after this the printer will re-initialize .. this may take few mins..

and chek after that

How do i install a new mother board on my hp officejet 7410?

Well you wont find this info anywhere...HP doesnt give it out to anyone but authorized repair centers...
I dont think you know what that board costs....it may be cheaper to get a new printer...you probably cant get the board with out having a repair center do it anyway

Printer wont power up

I found over 50 people online that had the same problem which appears to be a fatal software problem. One person had a partial fix which invoolved unpluging the cable to the wireless card and leaving it unpluged and using cable to connect printer to the network.

Hp officejet 7410 all-in-one scanner don't work half the time.

Perform a hard reset on printer and also uninstall completely all software and then reinstall. Try scanner again.

If you have "upgraded" to another OS there is a possibility that the driver being used is not good for the new environment. If applicable, check that out.

If printer is out of warranty HP will do nada but refer you to a forum or suggest you get a new printer - an HP naturally!!!!!!!
