Clarion cx609 smooth install BUT it doesnt fit entirely flush in my 03' toyota 4runner. There are about 1/2 inch gaps on either side. HELP

did you check to see if it plugs into the dash?

fix whatever was leaking in the first place, take out thermostat back flush entire cooling system put in new thermostat and the problem should be solved if you didn't already do damage to a head. next time use ground black pepper. it doesnt plug up system no matter how much you put in but will seal leaks safely when its pushed thru a hole it expands and seal instantly and hardens, i've done many time and never had a problem

That is going to be a touch install if memory serves as your vehicle is not double din. Much easier to sell that and get a single din radio and install kit.

the frost buildup is entirely due to badly fitting seals,its also costing you a fortune to run it.A 5 sided cube is easily adjusted by using a spirit level and spacers under the feet/wheels(if fitted)once adjusted the lid should fit square.otherwise check the hinges for adjustment.
WHEN FITTED/INSTALLED CORRECTLY, THE LID SITS TIGHT ALL ROUND,NO AIR GAPS.....

This radio has a multi wire plug. In this mess of wires is a blue one and a blue with white tracer. The Blue and white tracer wire is for the amp and the solid blue is for antenna. If you do not see these then look for an empty socket in the back of the plug where all the wires are coming out. This might have been cut by someone or pulled out by a bad de-install job.

The salvage yard is 100% wrong. 4Runner doors are markedly different. No 4Runner with 4 doors will fit any pickup truck
The only way to get a door that fits is from a TWO door 4Runner.
