my game in itunes will not sync to my ipod
Problem for Apple iPod nano Third Gen Silver Digital Media Player
Ipod nano 8GB 3rd generation FROZEN!
I turned my ipod onto nike +ipod to see what it was
then it just froze when I pressed regular.
Now its frozen on the main screen and won't shut off or respond to anything I press.
Because of this it also will not charge or show up on my itunes when I plug it in.
Help!

First make sure your hold switch isn't on. It's on the top or bottom and slides
back and forth. It needs to be switched to the left. Once it is to the
left, here's how you reset:
You can reset your ipod by holding down the menu and select (round button in the center) buttons down for at least 10 seconds. You'll see an apple logo flash, that's when you stop pressing the buttons. It will shut off, then back on.

ok. my name is madison and i have a ipod nano 3rd generation and one day it decided it wasnt gonna turn on and i plugge dit into its charger and nothing happened and i plugged it into the computer and nothing happened and the itunes didnt even show up that the ipod was even plugged in.

My ipod nano 3rd generation is frozen! It wont do anything it is stuck on the playing screen. I have tried to hold the center button down for 25 minutes it does nothing for it. I tried charging it, itunes doesn't see it and it wont charge. Now what, I have had it for a week! Any help would be great!

I just got my nano iPod 8Gb yesterday, today I was going to add some more music, turned it on, connected to my pc and it just froze. There's nothing I can do to turn it off, nor to listen any music or view any files. Damned!
I tried to no avail to follow the instructions given by Apple, but those are for 1st and 2nd gen iPod only.

I encountered the same problem with my 4g ipod nano. I was trying to recharge it when the screen displayed main menu and got frozen. Then charging was not working and wont shutt off or not responding to any key pressed.

I plugged in my iPod to the computer to charge, but I think I might have plugged in the wrong charger. You see, I have one for the wall outlet and one for downloading music and charging on the computer. Then when I exited out of iTunes and took out the charger, I took off the hold on my iPod and it stayed locked. It won't respond to anything I press or try to scroll to. It just literally froze!!

hey i was running home today with my iPod and some coins in my pocket, when all of a sudden the music stopped playing and static came through the earphones. i had the iPod in hold mode, and when i exitted it, nothing happened. i have tried exitting hold mode and turning off the iPod, but nothing seems to work. the screen it was on, it is now frozen on. im currently waiting for the battery to die, so i can restart it there. please help

The same thing happened to me on the plane. To fix it there is a switch under the ipod nano where the head jack is but go to the far left and you should see a switch. flip the switch to the right and leave it there for two seconds and switch it back to the left and it should work.

I just have the exact same issue - i was out running today wearing the ipod and Nike+ - i just tried to dock in the pod and noticed that its frozen - completly frozen.
Tried all of the hold/unhold - press menu+play/pause and so on - nothing helps.

i was watchin a video with the ipod on hold and the battery ran outand now it wont connect to the computer or charge it up
