Hi
Error 6A00
The 6A00 is a Canon generic code for paper path jam.

Solution 1:
Move the printhead carriage back and forth a few times.

Solution 2:
Check the purge unit: Moving the print head assembly will not clear a purge unit if its jammed with paper, paper clips, push pins, screws, cookie crisp, flower bud pods or the like.

Solution 3:
Press the ink pads down in the purge unit.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

Cannon MP830 when turned on, screen displays error 6A00

How to resolve 6A00:

1. Opening the cover and wait for ink carriage to center
2. Pull out power cord
3. Pushed carriage to far left (should slide easily)
4. Used paper towel and wiped purge unit a lot of times (press down to soak paper towel with ink). Repeat until the paper towel is relatively clear.
5. Used diluted napisan (oxygen-based cleaning agent in the ratio of 1:3 with powder:water) and soaked paper towel
6. Repeat step 4 with wet paper towel. Repeat until purge unit is near-white.
7. Pulled and pushed clear plastic wiper (north of purge unit) and wiped it down
8. Slided carriage back to original position
9. Removed Print head cartridge and wiped out excess ink stuck on bottom.
10. Plugged power back on.

Canon mp600 showing error code 6A00

6A00 Is the code for a paper path feed error. this is sometimes caused by the purge unit becoming clogged with debris. The purge unit sits underneath the cartridge print head and is designed to keep the ink flowing and clear. Turn the printer on, lift the lid so the cartridges move to the center and turn off. Look where the cartridges normally sit and you will see a sponge housed in a plastic frame. Move this frame back and forward, remove the cartridges and replace them, then turn the printer back on.
If this does not solve the problem then unfortunately a replacement printer of a service call to canon is un-avoidable.
I hope this helps Regards GM

Error Code 6A00, printer not working MP830

Move you ink heads out of the way and look inside, you will see the waste ink sponges and a little white plastic flap that may be jammed in position, wiggle it a little to free it and then continue to move it to make sure its free. This should solve it for you.

Cant ge the print cartridges out of my Canon MP830

[6A00] or Light blinking 12 times = AP position error. It's mean there is an error occurred in the AP motor during purging operation. You may need to replace Sheet feed unit, logic board or purge unit. And also please use original Canon cartridges to solve your problem too. Thank you

Canon MP830 error code 6A00

HI,

Please the pixma off and open the lid.Now manually slide the cartridge-tray to the left.

Use a piece of tissue to clean the base-pad where the heads are stored.See if it is stuck in a kind of upward position and look if the mechanism that moves the tray is released if not then touch it and it will be loose. Remove all ink residue, move the tray back to its most right position and close everything.

Let me know if you still get the same error.

Thank you

My MP830 has an error code of 6A00. The assembly

6A00 means the purge assembly is jammed or worn out. Part number QM2-3032-000 around
$30.00. It's the cleaning assembly on the right where the printhead parks when shut down.

Error code 6a00 will not print or anything, no paper james, all wipers seam to be in place, but I have no lights on my ink tanks when I replace them, we did have a lighting storm the other and lost power,...

When the cartridge assembly is positioned for use, it's all the way to the right. If that assembly is out of the way, there's a spring-loaded cover underneath which can be slide aside, and you can take a paper towel and blot up extra ink in that area. That has solved the probelm for me many times.

My printer shows an error code--6A00. I have checked and can find no paper jams--I have turned it off for extended for past 24 hours and code still appears. I can not reposition ink cartridges as they do...

With the printer off there is no reason why the printhead with the ink cartridges will not slide across the platen. It seems like that is your problem if you cannot manually move the printhead. Turn the power off and then move it.
