Unfortunately itunes only works for apple ipods. If the Media Player shows up on the desktop and discover where the music files should be dropped then he should be able to go to his user folder and then the music folder and then the iTunes Music Library and then be able to drag and drop his required music onto the player. Sounds a bit of a fiddle but a final piece of advice try it with one folder or even one music file and then see if it works.
