Re: No picture no sound

Hi the problem could be with either the power transfer relay as you have no sound or video it wouldnt be something like your video card.
It could even be a blown resistor on the high voltage part of the board as you have low power part of the board is working as you have power going to the led lights so the problem is with the high voltage part of board.
It could be cheap to repair if it is only resistor or even power relay the screen is fine as you have lost both sound and video.
If you have a multimeter and know where to look you might locate the bad resistor witch is probably the case but it can be difficult to find and if you are not confient in finding the problem then you might never find the fault.
But its deffinately going to be around the high voltage part of the board so this would be good place to start

Hi Genaro,

Blue led light lit solid and yellow led light flashes is an initial attempt of the set to re-light the lamp.Red led flashes and yellow led light solid means that the lamp won't light up that's why it only has sound without the picture.
Since you've replaced the lamp twice and still the symptoms persist, I suspected that the fault came from the ballast board and not on the lamp itself. If the ballast board gone to malfunction, there's no high voltage will produce to light up the lamp and will sensed by the processor and trigger the error code (Flashes/solid led light with color code).

To verify whether the ballast board is faulty or not, check if the lamp will lit by looking through the lamp door louvers at the rear of the cabinet upon turning on the set.
Please let me know what you will find to assist you further.

Tv will not power up

the itc222 has a processor that shut it down for one or 20 different reasons. generally it is for high voltage safety reasons. the first thing as a technician i check are the horizontal tansistor and flyback. The first thing you can do is unplug for hour and then try again. This usally dosent work but it does elimate proscesor lockup. since the light comes on then you can elemante the main fuse. as a technician we have acess to computer equipment much like the one on cars that read error codes that tells me why the set shut down. does the set try three times then shut down.or just shutdown with one try.

Samsung HLM507W will not turn on Alright so here's the deal....I got this TV for free from a guy on craigslist. He said he couldnt get it to turn on. He replaced the lamp, it still didn't work, so he gave up and now I have it. First thing I did was try and turn it on... The TV powered up for about 5 seconds, and then the screen started to flicker all kinds of crazy colors, and it shutdown shortly after with all 3 lights blinking. I figured this probably has to do with the color wheel, so I bought a new one and popped it in. Once installed, the TV started right up, and worked for the entire duration of it being on (approx 7 hours). Now it will not turn on. Here's the startup sequence: -Push power -A couple of audible clicks, and both cooling fans energize. -Lamp does not turn on, and after about 45 seconds of having just the fans running, the TV cycles off and tries to power itself back on. -Rinse and repeat about 3 times total. -After the 3rd attempt, the TV shuts down completely and all 3 lights start blinking in front. -Pushing power does not do anything with the 3 lights blinking. TV must be unplugged and pplugged back in before sequence can be attempted again. Looking for a possible solution/troubleshoot technique. Checked the fuses and they are fine, triple checked all of the connections. Seeing as the lamp doesnt even attempt to energize, Im thinking it could be the ballast, but I'm trying not to dump money into something that might not fix the problem. Thanks for your help!
