Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator - 2 problems

I have a Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator model #ED5FHGXKQ02 with an Ultra Ease Water Filtration System. After we moved, the doors no longer lined up straight. How do I adjust them to be straight again? Also, the water dispenser in the door now drips constantly.

I would suggest that you get a certified person to come out and look at it you very well could have bent the doors in the move.

for your drip:
Flush air from the water system the first time it is used and after replacing the filter. Air trapped in the water line or filter may slowly travel through the coiled water reservoir to the dispenser, pushing any water ahead of it. This can cause the dispenser to drip. Water needs to completely fill the lines for all air to be cleared.

  • Use a sturdy container to press and hold the water dispenser bar for 5 seconds, then release it for 5 seconds. Repeat until the water begins to flow. Once the water begins to flow, continue pressing and releasing the dispenser bar (5 seconds on, 5 seconds off) for an additional 2 minutes. Repeat if dripping starts again because air can re-enter from the water supply.
  • As air is cleared from the system, water may spurt from the water dispenser.
  • Make sure the refrigerator is connected to a cold water supply.
One or two drops of water immediately after dispensing is normal. It may be necessary to hold the container under the dispenser for 2 to 3 seconds after releasing the dispenser lever.

Looking for water filter

The model number is probably ET8WTKXVB00 . If this is the correct model, it does not have a water filtration system. The manual is available from . Sears Parts Direct and other appliance parts stores have the parts diagrams and most replacement parts for the ET8WTKXVB00. No filter is listed and no add-on water filtration systems are available for the refrigerator.

I hope this helps. You could put a whole house filter before the water line gets to the refrigerator if you have a problem with the taste of the ice.

Filter for UltraEase water filtration system?

This may not be the problem now but by the sound of the malfunctioning water lines etc., it could be in the future. The start device on some models of refridgerator for maytag and whirlpool have been recalled. If your appliance was manufactured in the last 5-10 years you may be having an issue with this component. Mine recently caught on fire at this device that is located near the compressor. If you would like to be a part of the petition for a recall on this appliance contact me at

Whirlpool sideby side ref. ED5FHGXKQ02 condensation on walls of freezer causes accumulation of water on freezer floor

Most times that is a defrost drain blockage behind the rear wall of your freezer back panel. Sometimes the door seals allow some moisture to accumulate if air is drawn in through the seals leaking or the door to the dispenser is stuck open. But when you say it has accumulated in a pool of ice on the bottom of the freezer then the drain is blocked. I'm going to send you to some links and I want you to read through most of what is said and just use the parts the refer to your refrigerators problem, Sea Breeze

The water dispenser is leaking water from my ultra ease 2 model for Whirlpool

Your water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in is probably leaking. disconnect the water line coming out of it and see if you have a slow drip.
