Question about SanDisk Sansa m240 MP3 Player

Sansa M240 I recently had over 200 songs on my my m240 when i had windows media player series 9, and it was workin fine. There was no issue with copying music onto it. Now that i have windows media player 10, i can't get anything done. i can sync music over from my cd's but they say unknown or somethin where the artist name should be. On top of that, i can't donload music from the internet or nothin. Can you help?

The problem might be with the USB compatibility. The player has two option automatic and MSC. If you go to the settings -> USB menu you can change to MSC and this will allow you to copy files like a USB key or format the drive and then change it back to auto and use the MTP standard to sync the music with media player.

Hi, my m240 does the same thing. I partly fixed it by going to menu\settings\reset all. Temporalily fixes it, need to do it occasionally. Still missing a lot of space though!

Deleteing songs


Use Windows Media Player - you must delete them from the computer by selecting the mp3 player - you cannot delete them from the Mp3 player itself.

PROBLEME OF MEMORY.


My Sandisk Sansa m240 lost all the songs and then I could not delete them. I was able to laod up new songs, but there was no spare memory. I was able to fix this issue by re-formating.

Using windows explorer right click on the "Sandisk sansa M240" and click "format".

Now working OK.

My Sansa m240 does not play music, it freezes.


Try going into your USB Settings on your device and ensure the unit is set to msc

Probably not, try going to where the songs are all stored [My Music] select all the songs and open with the Sansa converter-to transfer music or use Windows Media Player.

Otherwise open My Computer then SansaM240 folder and drag the songs into Music.

Sansa m240 - won't download OR delete songs


I just had this problem and I sync'd it with my windows media player 10 and formated it and delted all the corrupted songs and freed up the space. Just format and redownload all the songs you want :)
