My ps3 is not accepting my WEP key - Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console

if your internet connection doesnt use wep then change it on the ps3 so its selected as none instead of wep.

or go into your router and add a wep encryption and then put it into the ps3
weps just to protect it from random ppl using your internet

What router are you using? If it is a lynksys then go to your web browser and type in 192.168.1.1 and enter in your login info, the default login is user: admin and either no password or the password is admin also. click the wireless tab and then click wireless security and it will display your wep code.

Ok, hi. I had the tue same problem but i think i figured the problem out. My ps3 used to connect no problem to my home wifi but now it wont conmect anymore because it wont accept my WEP key. After i read the little thing that says its wrong i realised it had to be 10 OR 26 characters exactly one of those two numbers. I hope i helped.

The WEP access key is created by the owner/installer of the WiFi account.

So, you would need approval from the hotel's owner/manager to access their WiFi - they can provide you with the key.
