Question about Sony DSR 250 - Camcorder
I can be filming like a football game, or something, and my camera will just like go to stand-by mode. It just stops recording.....
My batteries are charged, and there's a new tape in there...
Fixed it, at least temporarily I had the side off my trv250 examining it, especially the CCD connection. I had read the post about soldering a capacitor to pins 1 and 3 (from the left) on the bottom row. I didn't have the specific capacitor on hand, but I started touching some of the small ones I did have to those pins. I found that after I touched a 100uF, 10V cap to pins 1 and 3 the picture suddenly came back to life and stayed that way after removing the cap. I have no idea how long this will last, and I've set up the cam on a tripod in the livingroom with the LCD display facing me so I can monitor it. If you, like me, figure you have nothing else to lose, you might want to give this a try. Note: my camera was suffering from the green smeary horizontal lines problem, and wasn't completely black. I'm not sure if this makes a difference or not.

****, I would recommend you go to B&H Photo's web site (bhphotovideo.com) and purchase a film to video transfer box. These boxes are relatively cheap and you don't need the projection screen any longer. Your camcorders lens sticks in one side and your projectors lens in the other and the box takes care of the rest. The quality is much better than projecting the image on a screen. Good luck my friend. Joe Weibel customelectronics.org

this error C:31:23 is related to the s reel and this occurs only when the tension of the tape is more,
1 st try to change the tape
if the problem persists then u need to take it to the service center as the tape path of the mechanical section is to be adjusted
as you are telling that your camcorder is not showing remaining time (time code ) then head assy. also need to be cleaned ..try to use cleaning tape for 10 sec. not more then that .
