Question about Musicmatch Jukebox Deluxe v8 for PC

1 Answer

MusicMatch won't work with Vista

I had a subscription to MusicMatch that entitled me to all future versions. Then my computer crashed. New computer has Windows Vista. The only "free" download I could find for MusicMatch says it has compatibility issues with Vista. There are sites that I would have to pay AGAIN for the download but they SAY that it will work with Vista. Is there a solution so I can download it free and enter my registration key so that I can use it with Vista? If I have to pay for it again, where's the guarantee that it will work with Vista. NONE of the sites are not affilitate with MusicMatch (as far as I can tell).

I have Musicmatch Jukebox 10 but have just changed over to Windows 7.I have a Packard Bell Hard Drive. How do I update from xp please ?

Musicmatch Jukebox 10 is not compatible with windows 7 >>

MusicMatch Jukebox 10 was designed to be used on older 32-bit operating systems like Windows XP.Note that MusicMatch Jukebox 10 is also no longer being developed, so it is unlikely that these problems will be resolved in future.
Before proceeding with installation of Musicmatch Jukebox 10, you need to look on your Windows 7 PC for any previous versions of Musicmatch Jukebox. If you've already tried installing version 8, for example, then you need to run a complete uninstall, not to mention a good clean up of the registry.Use Revo uninstaller to uninstall and clean any registry trash ,revo uninstaller can be downloaded on the link below:

Once you have done this, or if you had no earlier versions of Musicmatch Jukebox installed, you will need to download and install the only suitable version.Download and Install Musicmatch Jukebox 10 on Windows 7 >>

Once downloaded, right-click the installer file and select Run as Administrator. Next, you will need to OK the first of many warnings that the file is incompatible with this version of Windows.Proceed through the installer, clicking Next at each option. When you come to the registration page, click the option to not register and also claim to be under 13. Click Next to complete more steps of the installation, changing the location required for your Music folder if necessary. Musicmatch Jukebox 10 will add files and playlists to this location. As the installer finishes, you will be prompted to install the Yahoo! toolbar. You will need to deselect this.A successful installation should result in more incompatibility warnings. Ignore these, but agree to reboot your PC. Next right click Musicmatch Jukebox icon and select properties > compatibility >check run this program in compatibility mode for: (Windows XP) click apply ->ok.

I have a discontinued dell pocket dj player that when i download the software it says it isnt compadable how do i fix this i have a vista.

Go to and enter the DJ's service tag ID on the back of your player on the support section. It will give you a list of drivers and software that you will need for your DJ. If you are running Vista, download the XP drivers. They will work fine.

How can i set up what program to use to dowload files or music on vista

In general, this site will answer most of your questions. Third party (non-MS) software that handles music is a user preference, and there are paid subscription services and free software where you supply your own media or pay per download, like iTunes, that work as music managers. You can usually get a free trial for a couple of weeks if you want to check them out.
Depending on your version of Vista, you may or may not have a full media center. Learn to use the WMP, since it's fully integrated. But iTunes also works on windows, and is definitely worth a look. Better radio, and syncs with ipods. Musicmatch was a great jukebox, but I haven't used it since Yahoo bought it, and couldn't say how well it works with vista. Others are winamp, songbird, media monkey, etc., etc. Search media player or music or audio players, you'll find many others.
Once you have installed the software for your player, you can create folders to organize your music yourself, or use the built in tags for genres and so forth to let the player manage your files. Just read the help sections for more on this.
It's a vast world of sound out there. Dive in. Don't be affaid to get your ears wet. The worst that can happen is you lose your files, so learn how to back up your files, and do it regularly. You can't imagine how many times I've seen someone with an external hard drive that crashes worrying about the loss of years of files, whether music or photos. Don't keep it all in one place...
Best wishes.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

welcome to fixya

this is a problem a lot of people have and i am sorry but music match will not run on visat

We regret that Musicmatch Jukebox and Musicmatch On Demand do not work with the Vista operating system.

If you are thinking about upgrading to Vista but have not already done so, be aware that you will not be able to use Musicmatch services on Vista.

Additionally, the services of Yahoo! Music Jukebox have closed and we are no longer transferring Musicmatch users to these services. Yahoo! Music Unlimited, Jukebox Plus, Jukebox and the Music Store are no longer available and will not re-open.

hope this helps out have a great day

PcAnywhere 12.0 System Builder Edition

PcAnywhere 12.0 is not compatible with Windows Vista. PcAnywhere 12.1 is. You can find it here:

Whether or not you are entitled to a complimentary update is unclear, although generally speaking users are normally entitled to updates as long as the version remains the same. (So in this case, because the new version is 12.1, you are likely entitled to the update, whereas if the new version was 13.0 you would be more likely out of luck.)

I would recommend using the "Live Chat with online sales" option at the URL I provided to clarify your licensing questions.

you should try different software instead of music match, like windows media player or real one as these are much more reliable. i had the same problem when i bought a ministry of sound mp3 and i tried it with different software and it worked perfectly!!!
