Lexmark X5150 driver download (by 2 users)

I have downloaded the driver from the Lexmark website and saved it to My Documents. I have XP. When I try to open the file, it gives me an error message and says it's "not a valid Win32 application."

it has error 0502 on my Lexmark 5150. What does this code mean?

please try these steps

Reboot the PC.
Make sure the printer is selected as the default printer in the Printers folder and try to print again.
If printing fails, you will need to download the printer driver again. To do this:
Create a folder on your desktop and call it Lexmark.
Go to our Drivers & Downloads center. Note: The name of this page/site may be slightly different in your region/country.
Click Printer Driver.
Select the Related Product Name from the drop-down menu.
Select your Operating System from the drop-down menu.
Select the desired Language from the drop-down menu.
Select the latest Driver File and click on the File Name to detach it to the Lexmark folder on your desktop. Wait for the download to complete.

Important: Make sure any copies of the driver from earlier installations are uninstalled before you install the downloaded version.
Install the downloaded driver as follows:
Open the Lexmark folder and double-click on the downloaded file.
When the WinZip Self-Extractor screen appears, click on When done unzipping file open: <the printer file name>. (The printer file name will appear beneath this option.)
Click Unzip. The installation program should autorun. Follow the on-screen prompts to install the printer.
If the installation program does not autorun, locate the newly created LXK___ folder for Setup.exe and double-click on it. An installation program will run. Follow the on-screen prompts.
If you are prompted to install the printer for all users, click Yes.
When the installation is complete, restart the PC.
