70 series wont fill w/water

My 70 series will not fill up w/water

My Series 70 will fill with water on the initial start up of each wash, with good water pressure. However, once it has gone through the first cycle and begins to refil for the rinse cycle, it comes out at a very low trinkle (no noticable water pressure at all.

After the machine had not filled to the proper level after an hour, I manually poured in water to the level required for the machine to kick into the rinse cycle and then the machine completed the remainder of the cycles fine.

Today was the first that I had noticed this happening and it happened twice for me.

What is your suggestion for fixing this problem?

CHECK SCREENS IN WATER VALVES FIRST. CHANGE TEMPERATURE SELECTOR TO COLD ONLY, SEE IF IT WILL FILL. IF IT DOES FILL AND SCREENS ARE CLEAN YOU MOST LIKELY NEED A WATER SELONOID.

Lid off, right side circular pressure switch with black hose attached. Remove end of hose, blow down to make sure not blocked and blow into switch where hose attaches. Should click twice. If doesn't click, faulty pressure switch (replace)

Kenmore series 70, water wont shut off while filling

Will it shut off if you unplug it? If not then a bad solenoid on water valve then need to change water valve. If it does then, need to check pressure switch, timer and wiring harness.

The wash machine will fill but wont stop filling

If it stops filling when you turn it off, the water level switch is malfunctioning. If the water runs in regardless, the water inlet valve needs replaced.

Kenmore series 70 washer will only fill with water.

I recently had this problem. It was found that the main drive belt broke and the washer would fill but not spin, agitate or drain. I replaced the belt and everything worked again. A defective or disconnected cover switch would also cause the same problem.

Series 70 fills wit water stops then makes a slight buzzing sound

The electric motor my have failed or a part called a capacitor could be the problem? The capacitor is part of the starting circuit of the electric motor, if this fails the motor will not start therefore the washing machine won't spin or agitate.

My kenmore 70 series wont stop filling with cold water. the hot water stops filling.

you need to replace the water inlet valve on back of washer as the cold water side is not opening,it's easy, remove the 2 top head screws, flip the head up,use a screw driver to pop the 2 clips out(1 on each side top),unplug the wire jack, now pull the back, back so you can get to the valve-mike

Kenmore heavy duty 70 series model 82763110

set the load size to small, fill with water.

now after it fills with water do you hear anything? motor noise?

If you hear motor noise, it probably has a broken motor coupler.

if it doesnt do anything I would look at the lid switch and activator, the lid has to close and the switch has to know it closed. did the tab on the lid break off?
