well the easiest solution is to download winamp free from winamp.com and it should recognize your device at the bottom left side of the winamp screen. if that doesn't work you can manually put songs on by dragging them from your computer to the device via the startup menu-computer and then double clicking your device and looking for the media or music folder. i would suggest trying winamp free first.
I had to put the music I converted into mp3 format into a new folder. Which I labeled ixl. I then put that folder under the my music folder and was able to retrieve the music
try putting it into recovery mode by holding the volume up while plugging it into the pc this might at least get the pc to see it also try it with a diffrent cable
Download "iriverplus3" from internet. Free, from www.iriver.com. None of my music files on my computer were compatible, so I had to put all my music back on again, but this time using the "iriverplus3" programme. Once this is done, it's easy to transfer the music to the Mickey Mouse Mplayer. "iriverplus3" tells you how.
http://www.last.fm may be a good bet for you. It looks at your music, you tell it other music you like, and it starts playing similar music. The more you tell it you like or dislike, the better it gets for you. It's also free to listen, but you never own or control the songs.
Omg, i get this all the time from my computer, but if your only doing music, i use DiskToPhone, i think its a samsung app. but i think its probably worth investing in it, works fine on my phone. another idea is to get a mate to put it on his or her phone and bluetooth it to you, but it does take more time.
