Generic problem for all Washing Machines
Bosch WFF 2001 wasing machine
Taking about 2.5 hours to do shortwash water not getting hot

- Dear Friend water hoses are clear and water is getting in to drum OK. Also took out heater element and this is OK, so put back. Machine is running now but water is still not getting hot.Jan 28, 2008
- I took the heater out and connected it to the mains and it got hot quickly. There were no holes in it or burn marks. Cant measure the amp draw

- Thank you for your help and advice. It turned out to be in the end one of the plastic spade connectors that connect to the heater element. It was broken inside. So I have soldered on new connectors and its working fine now. Thanks again.

check the water inlet valve where the hoses connect shut water off and take the hot hose off look in the valve there is a small screen that maybe clogged if not report back and we can go in deeper

- Ok then you are getting hot water into the unit .. the heater was the next step.....but what I need to know did you test the heater or just look at it they can break internally and on the outside look fine....You will need to test the voltage at the heater if you have voltage to the heater when in the cycle you will need to check the amp draw of the heater ..do that and let me know what you find.Jan 28, 2008
- Are you getting pwr to the heater when the unit is on ??? you will need a test meter to go any deeper i can give you test points to check to see where the problem is,,,>> Do you have one??
PS: never dry fire a heating element it will burn out with in 30 secs of pwr being applied alway test submergedJan 28, 2008

Our Zanussi Washer Dryer smells funny when drying and leaves the same smell on the dry clothes, the smell is a musty fumey smell, we have tried using bounce but the fumey smell is stronger than any detergent smells.
