Question about GE GSH25JSTSS Stainless Steel Side by Side Refrigerator
Left freezer door open a crack for three days while I was gone. returned to find water all over the floor and the back of the freezer frozen over with ice crystals. I unplugged it for 48 hrs to defrost and plugged it back in. it worked for 3 weeks and then started leaking again and not cooling properly again. what do I do? and how
You will most likely have to replace the main controller board.. I have had the problem come up before and the GE boards are known for going out..The board is located on the back right side of the refrigerator has a cover plate about 6" across and 8" high The most likely failure is the relay to turn on the compresser (it is a small bk box on the board) you can unplug it and open this panel plug it back in and tap the relay with the back side of a screwdriver and see if you hear the compressor running.. Let me know
