1 Answer

I have a ATT curve and get bad echo on my bluetooth in my car

I have changed echo setting with no luck; i have spoken to another person who has the curve and the same car manufacturer (Land Rover) and they have had the same is very bad echo for the person to whom i am speaking.

When i cover up the mike on the curve, it helps there anyway to disable the mike while i'm linked to my car?

How do I set my e-mail address to download emails

Just so everyone knows, I have BB Curve 8310 with AT & T.

You get 1 blackberry email account (in my case, it's If you're like me, you have business, personal, etc accounts that you want to add without getting 20-30 minute delays before the email hits your BB.

Let's say you have 2 emails you want to set up (1 for your business and 1 personal). Let's say your business POP3 email is

1) Create a username with your ATT BB address (let's say,
2) In your POP3 email settings, choose to "redirect" or "forward and save a copy in Inbox" and forward your emails to your ATT BB address ( you've just created. This will help get your emails to your BB pretty much instantaneously. And emails will be kept in your inbox for you to reference as well.
3) Log into your providers BIS (short for Blackberry Internet Service). ** Can't post a link but you can just Google your providers name followed by Blackberry Internet Service and you should find it
4) Once you're logged in, from there you can set up your account.
• Email Account Name: put your ATT BB address in there
• Reply To: This is where you can put any email address you want. So, even though you're sending the email from, the user will see whatever email address you put in this field. So, in this case, you want to put So, the user will see it came from and when replying, they will reply to (which is then forwarded to your ATT BB email, which is then forwarded to your BB).
• Auto BCC: The only problem with doing this (and I run into this a lot) is that since I'm sending out so many emails - some from BB and some from my office computer, I don't know what I sent to people, and without an Enterprise server, it is not automatically synched with my desktop in my office. What you can do here is set up a Gmail account and name it and any email you send from your BB will be sent to this email address as well so you know what you sent people.
• Signature: You can change your signature for each of your email accounts (business, personal, whatever), which is great.

Blackberry curve won't pair with my bluetooth headset

Try the following. Hope this helps.

1. Go into "Media" on your BlackBerry and enable incoming files (Menu-->Receive using bluetooth).
2. Find the file on your friend's device that you wish to send, and beam the said file accordingly.
2a. If you have not "paired" (created a friendship between) the two devices before, you will need to do this first...
2b. One of the devices will ask for a PIN code first and on this device you need to create a four-digit, numeric password that can be anything you like.
2c. On the second device, enter the four-digit, numeric password you created and follow the simple, on-screen prompts on both devices to complete the pairing (you can also pair the devices in advance by going into Menu-->Set Up Bluetooth).
2d. Depending on the devices being used and the time taken to complete the pairing, you may need to re-send the file (go back to step 1), otherwise, continue below...
3. When your friend's device tries to send you the file, your BlackBerry should ask you to name the file and where to save it; if you have not set the device as "trusted" in the bluetooth settings (Options-->Bluetooth-->your friend's device), you may need to approve the file transfer first though.
4. The file should now be on your device.

Note: by default, all
* Pictures are saved into /Device Memory/home/user/pictures or /Media Card/BlackBerry/pictures if you have a memory card.

* Sounds (including songs) are saved into /Device Memory/home/user/ringtones/ or /Media Card/BlackBerry/ringtones/ if you have a memory card.

* Videos are saved /Device Memory/home/user/videos or /Media Card/BlackBerry/videos if you have a memory card.

In other words, unless you specify somewhere else in step 3, this is where you will find your file.

Speakerphone when answering blackberry pearl 8100

I had the same problem. I called T-mobil, my carrier, and they had me take the battery out while the phone was 'on' and put it back in. After the security scan was done, the tech called me back on my cell - problem fixed. (I'm not sure if he did something on his end too, but at least try it your self first!)
