With an Adesso CyberTablet 6400, two cursors appear on the screen ... neither of which responds properly. I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, changing USB ports ... everything I can think of to resolve the problem, but nothing works. Using the latest driver from the Adesso site. Have tried contacting Adesso twice with no response.

Is there anybody here who is familiar with the Adesso Cybertablet 8600?
First I'll say that despite Adesso being a cheap brand, my tablet has worked great for me for the past two years and I am happy with it. However, I cannot get the tablet's pressure sensitivity to work well in Illustrator CS2. When I go to the brush options, the pressure feature is off. Has anybody else experienced and/or conquered this problem? Thanks
The cursor skipping in three places is apparently caused by the connectors inside the tablet getting dirty or corroded. Fortunately, you can easily fix this problem yourself! All you need to do is unscrew the back of your tablet, unplug the connectors and clean them with a q-tip dipped in alcohol. There is a video on YouTube that shows you step-by-step how to do it(it's easy!). It's called: Howto fix dead areas on any graphics tablet and it's posted by riodroid. Here's a link to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ff7Vw-0kPsE
it is a vista issue, you have to download a driver from another company for a different tablet, it is not an addesso driver, but it fixes the double mouse problem, the driver is from
Nisis / Aiptek V3.15 drivers
google that and download the driver, it should fix it
Below is the full text of an email I sent to the Adesso Company. They sent me a response in just a couple of days.
I tried it out on an Adesso 8600 Cybertablet. It works perfectly.

It works fine on my old computer but not on my new vista computer. I downloaded the new drivers from your website that say Vista on them but I still get a double cursor. I have found that many people on internet forums are having this same problem. Are you going to make a vista compatable driver for the 8600?
I would recommend turning the Power Saving features OFF in the Device Manager for your tablet.
On your computer click on Start, Control Panel, System, then the Hardware tab, then Device Manager. Now find the CyberTablet 6400, right click and select Properties. Click on Power Management and be sure that "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is UNCHECKED.
This way the computer will not shut it down when you haven't used it fo a while.
Hope this helps. Good luck.
